Jet fuel!

Decent food, but a little pricey for what you get. The guy seating people and the bartender had good sense of humor and good banter. The "Jet Fuel" drink is awesome!

Esoteric restaurant with pinturesque owner. Mostly local fresh seafood and a rustic environment. Located right on the creek where previous restaurant was locate when the seafood was downloaded from the boats to the restaurant.

This location used to be a favorite. It has declined in the past few months. The new menu feels like a rip-off. Side items that used to be standard are now extra. For example, the crab cake boat was once served with fries and cold slaw, and now only comes with chips. They were out of most everything on the... More

After a half day of hard fishing on the Nansemond River, we visited Captain Chuck A Mucks Ship for grub. Ill-dressed and starving, friendly wait staff greeted us. The menu was excellent and filled with authentic locally sourced food. I ordered the soft shell crab dinner, freshly made coleslaw, and corn and beans. One word-DELICIOUS! I highly recommend this quaint... More

When soft shells are in season, don't miss out on Cap'n Chuck A Mucks. They serve up the best soft shells in the region. The crabs often measure 12+ inches across from pincer to pincer. The coating is light and tangy. Very nice. Make sure you try the homemade hush puppies. And on rare occasions, the Captain serves up a... More

Very laid back local seafood on the creek...Always a great place to get seafood in a "boat" or on a plate. Staff loves engaging with the patrons. Great food and fun either a lunchtime or dinner

The restaurant was clean, the people were friendly, and the service was excellent. On the whole, the food was very good and mostly in the prices were in line with other seafood restaurants in the area. Everything was cooked perfectly. We went on a slow Sunday afternoon and could not have asked for better service. The clam strips were small,... More

The owner kicked us out because we had too many people. We said that we'd have drinks on the deck until tables were ready but he he said that we needed to call ahead for 10 people. We did have a wonderful lunch at Smithfield Landing on the same river.

When your spending $25-$30 on a seafood dinner you would expect all the sides to be included in the price. Not to find out that a salad and Mac n cheese is extra.
