Fun little greasy spoon diner

This is a typical "greasy spoon" serving breakfast and lunch (closes at 2pm). The breakfast food is standard fare and consistently good and the lunch choices are your basic grilled sandwiches and such. The service is excellent! This place lives up to the meaning of a diner. Great food, inexpensive, and authentic diner atmosphere. Try it, you'll like it!

The food is okay; I actually think Waffle House has more flavor. The service is somewhat unfriendly. It's a "hole in the wall"-type place without the charm.

The best country breakfast in town! Has a great family atmosphere and a terrific staff. A must-eat restaurant in the Burg.

If you're looking for a quaint place that reminds you of simpler times, providing fast service from friendly faces, look no further than Joe's Diner. On the weekends, be prepared to wait as this place is a breakfast favorite for the college kids and locals. But you won't wait too long because the service is fast, but not so fast... More

Whenever we visit our daughter at school, this has become the traditional place to have breakfast. Lots of egg dishes for breakfast, but pancakes and waffles, as well. All food is well prepared, plenty of it and delicious. My last breakfast was the breakfast burrito which was served with a side of salsa and sour cream. Nice sized burrito, stuffed... More

Ordered the Big Joe breakfast - 2 eggs, choice of meat (country ham), grits, biscuits & gravy, and toast. The cost was half of what it would have been at Cracker Barrel, and for the most part it was a superior meal. The sausage gravy was outstanding as were the homemade biscuits. Eggs over medium just barely runny - perfect,... More

Get old fashioned feel with good, hot, reasonably priced food. We go there for breakfast every time we are in Blacksburg. Great Downtown location, but don't blink because you might miss it. Friendly staff, too.

The breakfast selection is typical but the food is very good quality and tasty - and the price is right. I should mention that several years ago I had about the worst lunch ever there and swore I would never return. They are now under new ownership, and I am glad I tried them again!
