I went in for a quick lunch during my visit on the Virginia Tech campus. The service was really top-notch; got welcomed right away and conveniently seated. It’s a Mediterranean place so it took a bit of time to decide what I was in the mood for. I settled on the gyros and side salad. Usually gyros tastes heavy, greasy... More

On a break from visiting Virginia Tech, we grabbed lunch at Pita Vera. Perfect pizza and yummy chicken wrap. Service was cheerful and decor included hand-painted ceiling tiles.

This is one of my favorite local Blacksburg restaurants. I am never disappointed with any of the dishes I have tried. I have two favorites....1) The mixed Kabobs. This comes with a giant pita for dipping into the best hummus I have ever eaten. This is truly a meal. Chicken, Beef, Green Pepper, Onions, Mushrooms, Rice, Salad, Hummus and Pita.... More

Pita Vera is a great place for lunch and/or dinner. They have delicious kabobs, hummus, salads, and soups. Service is good and the food is always prepared fresh and tasty. Prices are good too.

Dropped in for supper on a Saturday evening before VT students returned from holiday break. We've eaten here before. Always an interesting selection of dishes from the eastern end of the Mediterraneum. I had a delicious beef kebab with salad, hummus and basmati rice. My wife enjoyed her philly beef sandwich. Tab came to $23.00 including a pint of draft... More

This restaurant has good food and good service, but the portions are on the small side. If you're real hungry, I would recommend getting an appetizer in addition to your main course.

They serve halal meat. Very good kabab also. But I think they should have more items. The place is also good for get together.

The food was good, but not great. In addition, the presentation was very plain and the portion sizes modest. Granted in a casual place, I'm not looking for fancy presentation, but the shredded lettuce that accompanied my falafel and hummus just looked sad. Similarly the portion sizes, both for the baba appetizer and the falafel main dish, were underwhelming. Regarding... More

This little gem in downtown Blacksburg has some of the best Hummus I have eaten. All the food is prepared fresh and served in generous portions. Try everything on the menu to experience the wonderful spice combinations and flavors of the Mediterranean. It is a very casual restaurant with simple tables. Decorated with customer painted ceiling tiles (make sure you... More
