We dropped in for a meal before attending a performance at The Moss Arts Center at VT. the restaurant is directly behind the parking garage. Even though the performance was sold out and there was to be a major football game the next day, the restaurant was not crowded. Portions are LARGE. I selected Monterey Steak, a thin t-bone smothered... More

If you have eaten at this type of restaurant before then you will know exactly what to expect. No surprises here. The portions for lunch were very generous and the service was very attentive. When we needed to return my daughters salad because she can't have cheese, they were quick to redo the order and bring her another salad. My... More

Two, if it's Blacksburg, VA. One is at 1540 South Main Street (reviewed here), which is part of a chain of four restaurants (Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and two in Roanoke). This is probably the most "Mexican-looking" Mexican restaurant that I've ever been in. A visit to two granddaughters brought us to one of their favorite restaurants for dinner. They ordered, what... Food was very good. Had Texas fajitas and was very pleased. Also had a Texas margarita. I only recommend having one they are very strong. Four of us ate dinner with 4 margaritas and one beer for 70 bucks! Great value!! I highly recommend. I Will return.

Visited El Rodeo recently - what a disappointment! I ordered enchiladas and as far as I could tell, they had been microwaved, sprinkled with a little cheese and set under the broiler just long enough to melt the cheese. The enchiladas were cold and watery in the middle, had little flavor, and the shells/wraps were soggy. My companion ordered "sizzling"... More

A new Mexican restaurant in Blacksburg and should do well. The food was excellent and quickly served. Prices were fine. The College crowd should enjoy this stop, very well.

Coming from California, I thought I had eaten every dish served on a Mexican restaurant menu. I was pleasantly surprised to see dishes Ii had not experienced on menus at home or on my travels to Mexico. We tried 2 dishes new to us and both were very good. The spices were warm but not too hot. The service was... More

We stopped here recently during our road trip across VA. It was nice to have a non fast food option and I was having a craving for Mexican. I was surprised to see that they had a buffet. I thought that was a little strange. At any rate I opted for ordering some thing from the menu instead. Chips an... More

This is better than average Mexican fare with a great bar, good mixed drinks menu, and a very nice outdoor seating area. I love to come here in warmer weather!
