Good and the bad

We sat outside for our lunch on a warm beautiful day. Our waitress was sweet but overworked. Good drinks but slow in coming. We waited over 90 minutes for our meal. Not quite sure why. There were 6 of us but other tables were served before us. Most of the meals were very good but the crab... read more

We tried different foods and all that we had was good. It's difficult to go in to a restaurant that has unusual food items and know what to try. They do have daily soups, specials and an outdoor patio.

My daughter and I ate at this Cajun place this past week end during family week end at Va Tech. The location is in downtown Blacksburg just seconds from the campus. The staff is very nice and accommodating and sat us away from more loud and large groups of students. We had Po Boys and a crab cake sandwich with... More

One of the hotel staff recommended this place and I should have know as soon as we walked in that we should have left. the interior looked like a Ponderosa steak house. The picture above our table was splattered with something gross. The waitress handed us a drink menu that stuck to your hands. I ordered a chicken dish that... More

If you want an Oyster Po'boy, and some decent potato salad as a side, and a drink, this place is just fine. They don't seem to be able to put together a really good dining experience, due to the cold, small, noisy, stark interior, and the cafe buffet-style presentations of their food. There is potential here, as there has been... More

We've eaten at Boudreaux's a couple of times and have not been disappointed. The menu has a variety of options, but it leans towards the cajun side of things. It is probably the only place in the area where you can get alligator meat. In nice weather, you can eat outside. Otherwise, the seating is fairly limited, so you may... More

The only place in the NRV that we have discovered that serves Gator tail and Oysters Rockefeller for a not so bad price. Food bursting with flavor and nice servers , worth the visit! Parking is a pain as most things in Blacksburg downtown Tech (off street or paid parking) area so I'd go during decent weather in case of... More

We have visited Boudreaux several times over the last few years and recently last weekend. My son raves about the New Orleans cheesesteak. He couldn't wait to go there last weekend. I loved the black and blue burger - with a Cajun twist. Others in our party loved the crab cakes. My picky eaters tried gater bites - and liked... More

Boudreaux's has some great New Orleans food. Here I tried alligator for the first time. They also have a wonderful Sunday brunch. The food is excellent, but the service is hit or miss. Make sure you have time to enjoy your meal, because it takes a while to get your food.
