Brunch Fantastic

We were in Blacksburg to visit VT for my oldest son. We stopped in for brunch at 622 north. My wife had some of the best French toast ever and my youngest son had a blt. My oldest son had a turkey sandwich and I had a Cuban sandwich. Everything was great. My favorite meal was the breakfast... read more

A group of 16 of us had a business/social gathering. I had the chorizo burger and it was excellent. A couple people had the bruschetta melt and they absolutely loved it. Someone else ordered yellowfin tuna and he raved about it the whole night. Another person had the ribeye and it was cooked just right. Food was just a tad... More

On a recent Friday night visit, we were road weary and hungry. I was thrilled to be seated right away and to hear live piano music. The menu is eclectic with many tempting options for most tastes. Our food came out way too fast. It was pretty obvious that items are not made to order but plated and reheated before... More

The food is funky. Some people like it but it really is sort of odd. Owned by the same guy as Lefty's sandwiches which is much better food at a better price. This place is about the redneck bar (on the North) and the pretentious wine bar (on the South).

What a gem! Great food and a great wait staff. Make sure you get the potato appetizer with bacon, cheese I think, and maybe green onions. Doesn't sound like I had it but I did and it was great!!

We love eating here when we're in Blacksburg. The staff is friendly and courteous. The wines are great and the food is excellent. They are very accommodating to people with food allergies and great with recommendations. It's a great place to have a truly relaxing meal with good people.

We recently had dinner here while on vacation in the area. What a real treat this was. The food was excellent; the wine selection was amazing; and the service was first rate. We would definitely go back and we highly recommend it to everyone.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but the food and service were average. Very surprised by the top ratings. Maybe they have no competition. I ordered the avocado soup and tuna-ginger entree which sounded wonderful. The soup had a bland flavor and strange gelatinous consistency. The tuna itself was bland but came with layered sauces of carrot, and ginger. The... More

Had a business meal here and wasn't disappointed. Fish selections were varied and fresh like Florida. On Monday's they even have half off bottles of wine. Such a deal!

Met a client for lunch this week. The service was attentive and the food really good. It is a quieter, more refined sister to Lefty's (also a great place to eat). I had the 622 salad with lots of bacon, avocado, corn salsa, and perfectly cooked grilled chicken. If you need a place to talk comfortably with professionalism- 622 North... More
