Food was meh, the service was very good. Do not recommend the ginger strawberry shortcake, frozen strawberries and ginger in the shortbread made it taste like a chemical spill.

A great selection of food and what I had of it was excellent… I would recommend it to anyone staying at The Inn…

This is a place I really wanted to like, especially after reading good newspaper reviews, but the food was fair, the servers uninformed, and the meal way overpriced.

Normally I don’t do this kind of thing but I was so disappointed, I had to say something. My daughter graduated from VT this weekend. I told her months in advance to make a reservation at a nice restaurant to celebrate this wonderful event. She and her boyfriend had gone to Preston’s, The Inn at Virginia Tech a couple of... More

Dear Mrs. R - Please accept my sincere apologies for the problems you detailed in your posting. I have sent a personal letter to your home in reply. I certainly understand your reaction to finding that our Graduation service was not at all what you expected. I'm sorry for the lack of descriptive information when your daughter made the reservation.... More

Had dinner with a "dining group" which visits restaurants in SW VA. We'll all from Bburg and have eaten at Preston's many times before. The restaurant is located in The Inn at Virginia Tech which serves as a local conference center. Very elegant venue. They knew to expect our group of 17 and that we planned to continue on to... More

Preston's offers a wide menu. Brunches as well as lunch and dinner. Conveniently located in The Inn at Virginia Tech but open to the public.

We got in to the Inn At VA Tech late and tired, and did not want to go out to find a restaurant, so we tried what the hotel had to offer. Contrary to what you usually expect in a hotel restaurant, Preston's is superior. The service was good, and the food was a treat. If this was not the... More

I have to say I am a little gun shy of buffet breakfasts. The ones that are included in most hotels are a glorified continental breakfast or are just cold. Preston's breakfast buffet was everything you'd want in a breakfast buffet. First the price is affordable (not $25 for eggs and pastries). With an omelet station (with some unique items... More

My husband and I eat here a lot. We usually go to Preston's when they have a prix fixed menu on holidays. We ate Christmas Eve dinner at Prestons and everything was delicious. Service is good and they usually have live music. If you don't want to pay Preston's prices, there is a lively little bar called "Continental Divide" right... More
