Expensive Breakfast but convenient

I have only been to Preston's for breakfast or Sunday brunch. The food is fine. Nothing spectacular and definitely not a bargin, but I like the convenience.

This is one of my local getaway places for breakfast and lunch, and weekend brunches. Love the linen table settings and fresh flowers. Although the buffet is not grandiose, it has more offerings than one could sample in one visit... often creatively prepared and always fresh. My lunch tab is generally ~$14 plus tip. Foods are labeled whether gluten free... More

I recently had lunch at Preston's with some colleagues. They have a buffet option for lunch that was excellent. There were a variety of salads and sandwiches as well as a hot buffet with several main courses and sides. Be sure to leave room for dessert....they are great. Service was friendly and efficient. Preston's is a great option for lunch... More

I had the chicken breast and the wife had chicken salad, both were ok but the croutons on the salad were really stall. The grilled shrimp app and bread were the best part of the meal. The place was clean and the staff was friendly.

Had breakfast here on a recent visit to VA Tech. They offered a buffet on Sunday mornings, which was pretty good. All the basics, plus an omelette station. They also had a fairly large fruit bar, which was nice. Service was great, and the dining area is nice and clean.

Good place for work dinners and breakfasts. Not so much for dates, because everyone around you will be having a work dinner and, if you work at VT, you will know half of them. The food is OK, but I always feel that I expect more than what they deliver for the price they charge.

This restaurant is actually inside the Inn at Virginia Tech. The atmosphere is very "hotel-like." We had a large party and felt the service was great. They have a neat selection of small plates and entrée sized plates, though the menu is not extensive. They have a nice wine list as well. Most all the desserts are made in house.... More

This is the hotel restaurant for the Inn at Virginia Tech. Food is available is available from the buffet or the menu. Weekend brunches are extra-spectacular. Three rooms of buffet tables - one entire room for desserts. Visiting family often like to eat here
