i had 2 lunches and a breakfast here this weekend. The buffet was very good, and what made it even better was that they had a cooked to order station. Scallops on Friday, and omelets on Saturday morning. Yum! With that, plus salad bar and hot bar, I had no problem finding things I liked. Thank you!

Main Strreet was crowded with Christmas parade and shoppers. We couldn't find parking so we tried Preston's in the Inn at Virginia Tech. We were pleasantly surprised with the food and price. My daughter had an very good prie five meal with soup, main course and dessert for $12.95. She loved it! I had an arugula said with goat cheese... More

Very good Sunday brunch buffet but the service on our most recent visit was poor - server spent most of his time at the next table but couldn't be bothered to clear plates or refill drinks at others. In fairness, we have never had this problem here before. Although we were there fairly early, the dessert tables were nearly empty... More

Great breakfast buffet. A huge variety; if you can't find something to eat on that buffet, you have a problem. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety. Great atmosphere and great staff. When I stay at The Inn, I will be sure to eat there again.

We've eaten at this restaurant many times as we often stay at the Inn at VT. The breakfast buffet is above average and the dinners are really special. I recently had the cold cauliflower soup which sounds unusual but was delicious. My fellow diners had filet, scallops and the crispy chicken which everyone enjoyed. Plan ahead - they get busy... Comfort food and friendly, attentive service. Be sure to get an omelet! There are ample choices at the hot station and the fruit/yogurt station. You can find plenty to make you happy.

Recently, Preston's has made an attempt to serve locally grown food. The food is outstanding. The atmosphere quiet and high-end. The flavor combinations are unique. In addition to dinner, they serve an excellent Sunday brunch especially on Easter and Mother's day (book in advance) They also have easy on-line booking and change there menu options frequently.

The restaurant is located in the Inn at Virginia Tech. I ate with a group of coworkers and we ordered a number of different things. Slow night but they had trouble getting the meals out together. The meals were slow but good (although my meat was overlooked). The quality was good. The wait staff seemed attentive.

First time overnighting in Blacksburg, Friday night with a big game at Tech the next day so most of the places on Main St were packed. Saw a sign for Preston's, read some reviews so we gave it a try. Wife and I both had excellent meals, nice wine list, friendly and attentive wait staff. Restaurant is located in The... More

We had both dinner and breakfast at Prestons. The dinner was excellent-good service, reasonable portions, and well presented. Breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of choices. We would definitely eat there again if we were in Blacksburg.
