Good food, service has improved.

About 15 of us went to the Cellar for a celebration over the weekend, and we called ahead to see if staff would reserve a large table or two for us. As requested, the staff reserved the perfect amount of seating for us. We ordered a couple of pizzas for everyone to have as "appetizers" and both... read more

My wife and I always enjoy the Cellar. Tonight was certainly no exception. My wife chose Greek Moussaka. It was described as traditional, lasagna-like casserole. The dish consisted of eggplant pan fried in olive oil, layered between ground beef & stewed veggies in a spiced red wine sauce, topped with savory, cheesy custard. It was simply delicious. The sauce was... More

I purchased a Daily Deal recently to go to The Cellar in Blacksburg. As a student at Tech in the sixties, I visited this location when it was The Greeks Cellar. Parking in the area of town is a real pain. We circled and circled. Had we not had a lot of time before a 9pm basketball game, we would... More

The restaurant is a little small, but Cellar Restaurant is a perfect match for the town of Blacksburg. It fits the feel of Blacksburg perfectly, small, good beer, good people, and good food. The pita pizza I had was very good and well worth getting again. Our waitress was very friendly. The service was quick although it was a Tuesday... More

We like the great drink selections, Soup and Salad deal (with excellent soups) Steamed Spiced Shrimp appetizer, and anything with a Salmon Fillet; they seem to be able to cook the salmon just to the perfect point of doneness, tender, melt-in-your-mouth flakey moist deliciousness. Giant salads, giant pasta dishes, great pizza. I used to get a Pita Pizza (not on... More

Our grandson goes to VT and we are traveling and wanted to take him for dinner. The concierge at the hotel dictated the Cellar. We had a great meal. Sat upstairs, in the Champagne room so although it was really crowded we had a private room and could really talk and carry on a conversation. We had several appetizers and... More

I've eaten here several times and the service can be a little slow, if it is busy. I eat upstairs and the kitchen is downstairs, so just remember your wait staff is doing some running! The bottled beer selection alone, is a good reason to have dinner here, but this is becoming standard for many restaurants in Blacksburg. I had... More

In town for a long weekend and decided to try The Cellar. It's in a great location, and definitely has a really local feel. Really extensive beer and mixed drink list. The food was pretty good, lots of sandwiches, calzones and pizzas, although they do have entrees. The upstairs is more of a restaurant, while the downstairs is a bar.... More

The cellar has great and reasonably priced food along with a large variety of drinks. My friends and I were out celebrating New Year's Eve and had a wonderful time here. I loved the tortellini and everyone in my group seemed to enjoy the meals they ordered as well!

The Cellar Restarant offers some pretty amazing Greek Food for Blacksburg, VA! We loved the entrees we had on a very busy college football game day lunch! The soup and sandwich I had was delicious! My son had a chicken parm sandwich that he said was excellent! Others dining with us had Greek salads and soup, too. We loved the... More
