Regular favorite in Blacksburg

One of the more interesting restaurants in Blacksburg, the Cellar had a long history of serving good food at very reasonable prices. In addition to the usual pizza and calzone (which we order regularly), we found another great deal: rib eye dinner for < $18. Not only was the steak well prepared, it... read more

This place is like two restaurants in one. The upstairs has bright lighting and close tables. The downstairs has dark lighting and close tables. Take your pick. The food was good and so was the beer selection and prices. We had a small pizza, a calzone and lasagna. All were very good. It was busy and the kitchen screwed up... More

A VT graduate friend recommended the Cellar and Poor Billy's. We rolled the dice thinking salads and Pizza sounded great. Well.... The beer menu is unparalleled in my travels. Great drafts and bottles galore. We were lucky-the star of the restaurant is Samantha who educated us about beers and Bourbon and the wonders of living in the area. Thank you... More

The best place in Blacksburg! Great pizza, salads, beer, and crab cakes. If you're visiting VA Tech you need to eat at The Cellar...it's a tradition.

We believe that the Soup and Salad option is one of the best at the Cellar, and we think it has gotten better. Are those bigger plates than they used before? Are those bigger bowls? They sure look bigger. More salad, ... more soup, ... same price. We are keeping on going back!

Been in bburg forever! Great local hangout. Discovered the works pizza 35 years ago and still my favorite. Wish parking was easier and reservations were an option! Would eat here weekly if easier to access.

The Cellar is one of my favorite restaurants in Blacksburg. Family friendly and clean with plenty of outdoor seating, we enjoy eating here. The food is always great and there is a nice beer selection. The service is usually very friendly. The only negative is that the food can take a while once you have ordered. We also enjoy the... This restaurant is considered a "must visit" while in Blacksburg. Portions are very large, especially the Calzones.

After years away from college, I went to a reunion. A group of us decided to meet their for drinks and snacks. I think there must have been twelve or fifteen of us, and they pushed some tables together, took our orders and were back very quickly with our drinks. A few of us had food, appetizers and they were delightful... More

We arrived on Homecoming Saturday evening and as expected it was packed and the wait staff were hustling. I'm not a fan of the "first come first served" seating situation and we felt like vultures hanging around other diners waiting for them to finish so we could grab their table as they left, and I was getting the feeling that...
