A friend asked us to get some donuts for him on a trip down 1-81, and we were glad we did. An unpretentious little place with freshly made donuts, in business for many decades. The half-dozen boxes made perfect little gifts for our friends. We'll stop by again.

My daughter introduced me to this little donut shop. Wow!! do the ever know how to make donuts. Enough of a variety that you have a hard time choosing.

It gets harder and harder to find really good, freshly made donuts, but that is exactly what they have here. The cinnamon are especially good. Too bad there is no place to sit inside, but on a nice day the picnic tables are perfect.

This is a fantastic donut shop worth the quick trip from the main part of town. Excellent selection served by friendly people. Nice change from the Dunkin Donut product.

Carol Lee Donuts has been a staple food for many of us who have attended Virginia Tech; as an educator there's no better way to start an early-morning class than bringing the students a couple dozen Carol Lee's finest. Their donuts are the perfect way to satisfy that sweet tooth. Although Blacksburg has become very health-conscious, Carol Lee's continues to... More

Whenever my wife and I go to Blacksburg to visit our cadet at VT, we pick up some donuts to eat on our drive back to NJ. Love their yeast raised donuts and the filled as well.

I thought Krispy Kreme was the best, until my fiance, now husband, introduced me to Carol Lee Donuts. They are made fresh, and I would personally recommend the maple. I think it's the best!

Been in business since 1969 (though I think the location was downtown originally), this is a worthwhile trip a little north of town. Staff was very friendly. You aren't going to find overly complicated gourmet donuts - just really fantastic fresh made donuts of many varieties. We had a lemon filled and a cinnamon twist, respectively. Delicious!

If you're looking for a traditional, homemade donut then head to Carol Lees! They remind Me of the donuts my grandmother used to make. Be sure to get them even theyre warm and they will melt in your mouth

The employees were quick to greet and super polite. We bought one of everything to be fair, and while their cake doughnuts were less than average, the rest tasted of deep-fry oil. After a couple of hours sitting in the box, oil from the doughnuts leaked through- completely saturating the bottom. Overall, not impressed.
