If you like beer, ribs, or both, and are in the area, you should visit Bull and Bones. They brew their very own beer. My boyfriend's favorite is the Sunlit Wit. Bull and Bones is known for their ribs. I will say this, I really don't normally like ribs. But whenever we go, I find myself stealing some off others'... More

The food was extremely good! The pulled BBQ sandwich, ribs & wings were all someo f the best I've had. The brews were OK - good price on tasting tray. The service was excellent! We just had a very good time with good food. Could sit outside if want and had a fun bar area.

I have been dying to try this restaurant out since it opened. However, because of its location (it is not within walking distance to the Virginia Tech campus or Lane Stadium/Cassell Colisseum), I was always out-voted by my fellow Hokie friends. This past weekend, we finally went to Bull and Bones for some appetizers/dinner before a basketball game. We tried... More

If you are a yuppie or someone who can't wait to tell the folks back home that you actually drank some dark beer for once, disregard this review. You, for instance, will love this place. However, if you are a true microbrew/brewpub/pub lover, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else-there are lots of true beer bars with great selections... More

We went there Saturday afternoon for an early dinner. We were seated right away as they were not busy. The service was much to be desired. The food was slow, had to ask for drink refills, the table was never cleared of dirty dishes, Never asked if we wanted dessert, I'm sure it was because when we left it was... More

After reading a review, I had to try the sweet potato casserole. One word...heavenly. The pulled pork was great, and the rib meat fell off the bone. There was good bark on the meat which I love. The baked beans were awesome, and I even liked the cole slaw which I never like at restaurants. We ordered the New Orleans... More

My meal was absolutely disgusting. The soup was Campbells, the Ceaser Salad was limp lettuce swimming in liquid, and the Carbonara was almost inedible (actually, I couldn't finish it). But, to be fair and honest, my wife enjoyed her salmon (not fresh, but cooked well) and our daughter had an "excellent" filet. Only an idiot would order pasta in a... More

We tried Bull and Bones last night and enjoyed it. The service was very good. Our waiter was attentive and prompt. Our orders came out just as we placed them. I love trying microbreweries because the beer is never dull. The master brewer can experiment with different brewing styles and flavors. I ordered a sampler round of their beers. It... More
