It is hard to find a restaurant worth dining at in Blacksburg. Most of the establishments cater to the college students because they spend the majority of the dining out dollar. Bull and Bones is a place that I go regularly. It has the atmosphere of most sports bars, so nothing special. However, the beer they make is very good,... More

This is the first place I have ever had smoked wings. They were very tasty and meaty. The rest of the menu is your typical bar/pub food, nothing exciting. They do however brew their own beer. Fantastic!! If for no other reason, go for the beer!

Likes - Reasonably priced. Close to hotel and campus. In a shopping center so parking was not a problem. Plenty of tv's to watch sporting events while dining. College age waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Dislikes - No real issues but food was average and while they had 7 different varieties of their beer on tap, non were great. Would... More

While I have been to Bull and Bones before and had a great experience, I can say that I won't be back and neither will my entire family. What's more, we're locals and not individuals passing through for a Virginia Tech game. Upon arriving, we checked in with the hostess at the door who put my family of four, including... More

If you like beer, ribs, or both, and are in the area, you should visit Bull and Bones. They brew their very own beer. My boyfriend's favorite is the Sunlit Wit. Bull and Bones is known for their ribs. I will say this, I really don't normally like ribs. But whenever we go, I find myself stealing some off others'... More

The food was extremely good! The pulled BBQ sandwich, ribs & wings were all someo f the best I've had. The brews were OK - good price on tasting tray. The service was excellent! We just had a very good time with good food. Could sit outside if want and had a fun bar area.

I have been dying to try this restaurant out since it opened. However, because of its location (it is not within walking distance to the Virginia Tech campus or Lane Stadium/Cassell Colisseum), I was always out-voted by my fellow Hokie friends. This past weekend, we finally went to Bull and Bones for some appetizers/dinner before a basketball game. We tried... More

If you are a yuppie or someone who can't wait to tell the folks back home that you actually drank some dark beer for once, disregard this review. You, for instance, will love this place. However, if you are a true microbrew/brewpub/pub lover, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else-there are lots of true beer bars with great selections... More
