Small intimate gourmet fare

Very surprised at the size of the restaurant, small but well decorated and comfortable. The menus offer daily unique items not found anywhere else in Bedford, Va. We ordered Frog Legs which were prepared to perfection! Duck and Chicken selections with specialty sauces were our friends... read more

Ran out 2015 at this nice little place in the country-side of Bedford Virginia. Nice decor and while the menu is limited it has some interesting offerings. Had the fresh Oysters... very good, Nice and light. Also had Dates with Bacon ... which were okay but would be better if stuffed with chevre. Also had a salad with chevre, the... More

Very surprised at the size of the restaurant, small but well decorated and comfortable. The menus offer daily unique items not found anywhere else in Bedford, Va. We ordered Frog Legs which were prepared to perfection! Duck and Chicken selections with specialty sauces were our friends favorites. The desert offerings were again tasty. I ordered the cheesecake which compared to... More

Come patronize Millstone Tea Room, you will not regret it! Great service and food. Very accommodating to food allergies. Unique dishes not accustom to Central VA; which is a good thing. WORTH THE DRIVE!!! Its nestled on 122 in Bedford County, VA. Come here if you want a special experience and good time. The staff is very knowledgeable on what... More

We recently ate at Millstone with friends while on a BRP/Skyline Drive trip. This place was very good and the meals were fresh and delicious! And the service was great too! My friends were exclaiming, " How did you find this place in the middle of nowhere?" Of course I used Tripadvisor to make my decision. We had a couple... More

Millstone is an unexpected gem in very rural southwestern Virginia and a lovely surprise. Great food, wines and cocktails with either indoor or outdoor seating. Not a huge menu but definitely a plate to please anyone.

Yea, when a place is great the deserve all the credit. My wife and I have probably eaten here 30 times since 2003, when we moved to Bedford. Yes it is a little pricey but it's worth it. Nina our server is just perfect, she caters to our every need. We were there on June 27, 2015. I had the... More

My wife and I were staying a Peaks of Otter Lodge for a reunion weekend and decided to look for a place to eat near Bedford the first night. Found this restaurant listed on tripadvisor with a good rating and decided to give it a try. Pulled up into the parking lot around 6pm with only one other car in... More

Overwhelming MUSTY & MOLD SMELL upon entering the door. The food was DELICIOUS but OVERPRICED for such SMALL PORTIONS. The trout & gnocchi & 2 iced teas + tip was $50. We left hungry. I would suggest bread or salad as part of the $ of the meal. Very tacky to have a nude painting over toilet in women's restroom.... More

A small quaint restaurant outside of Bedford Va that is worth the drive. A limited, but fine dining food caliber menu that features local vegetables, herbs, cheeses and made from scratch dishes. The menu changes seasonally. I have frequented occasionally and have never been disappointed. Recently a group of us visited to honor a retiring co-worker. The offerings were diverse... More

This will be a mixed review, I agree with some of the other reviews, and will explain. We had reservations and were greeted warmly and congratulated on our length of years! We did get a corner table as promised, and all three servers at some time during the evening helped, all very friendly. We hadn't been here before and that... More
