Good family spot

A rustic restaurant just 10 minutes short of Mt Snow. Very good service with excellent homemade bread. Extensive menu and kids eat free between 5-6 pm. I had the pork osso bucco which came with garlic mashed potatoes, green beans and side salad. Dinner for our family of 4 cost $87 with 2 beers and... read more

Saturday night before Mother's Day, my husband and I decided to venture out for dinner. We are in Vermont closing up our West Dover winter home. Our waitress was very attentive. My husband ordered from the light fare menu. I can tell you it was not light fare, mounds of muscles and ample linguini. I ordered the grilled Maine haddock... More

I've probably eaten at the Roadhouse seven times in the last four years. They always have amazing homemade bread and they make a really nice salad with really good homemade dressings. Their prices are more reasonable and bread, soup/salad are included with the meal. Sometimes my dinner is very good and sometimes it is just average. I keep coming back... More

The Roadhouse in Wilmingtom Vermont is one place that my wife and I never miss after skiing at Mt. Snow. The food is always terrific and the service is always excellent. There is a separate bar area and a nice selection of wine that can be ordered by the glass or bottle. Skiers are welcome. Whether skiing or sight seeing,... More

We hadn't been to the Roadhouse for a couple of years because we felt the place was really just average. We ate there Tuesday Feb. 17th and had an overall very good experience. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was very good. Also, an excellent value. My wife had wiener schnitzel and I had the beef ragout... More

Homey, country atmosphere. Disappointing that the fireplace is electric. We were there mid week after a snow storm on Monday. Limited staff, only one waitress. No bartender. So service slow. Waitress was a bit whiny about being busy and limited staff. The restaurant was a bit chilly, glad I had a fleece I could put on. We went to this... More

Arrived late evening, 2 other groups were finishing their dinner so we expected to get rushed. Instead, we had fabulous service with a very friendly and gracious waitress. With escargot, duck, venison as well as the usual fare on the menu it was difficult to choose. All our dinner were perfectly prepared and tasted great.

Last week my husband and I had dinner at the Roadhouse and it was wonderful. The salmon was cooked perfectly and one of the best I have ever had. Capers and lemon gave it a lovely flavor. The eggplant parm was also delicious and both of us cleaned our plates. Will definitely go back in the future. Food, ambiance and... More

We arrived at about 530. The restaurant was not full but there did not seem to be any sense that anyone cared whether we were there or not. When someone did come they seemed to have a difficult time figuring out where we could be seated so we offered to sit at the bar. But the bartender was also acting... More

Easy location in Wilmington, very nice decor, but amazing value for their delicious home cooked food. We had 14oz NY Strip steak with delicious fresh cooked vegetables, open baked potato, soup, and dessert/coffee for 17.95! Amazing and delicious!
