Who'dve thunk it? A delightful seafood place in Wilmington. My scallops were so perfectly cooked, I could've weeped openly. Hubby's Bouillabaisse was declared "Outstanding". this place was hopping. Service was friendly, if slightly distracted. Not cheap, but worth the money.

We arrived at the Anchor on a Saturday along with everyone else from Wilmington! What could have been a bad experience was great. Our bartender/server Erin was easy going, knowledgeable and fun. She was attentive and never in a hurry despite being slammed with customers. The food was very good and definitely the right choice in town.

As locals, this is where we go most of the time. Always good, reasonably priced and the servers never fail to entertain.

The food is excellent. We ate there 2x for lunch and 2x for dinner. The service provided by seasoned 19 year server Larry was superb. The prices are very reasonable. Try the Gorgonzola vinergrette salad dressing, the Prince Edward Island mussels, the lobster, the lobster roll for lunch or the chicken and Brie salad for lunch. On and the UFO... More

We immediatly got a table for two. We had a really nice waitress and the burgers we order came with fries and slaw and were really good.

we ate at the anchor after arriving in Wilmington. What a find!! The older man who served us in the restaurant was beyond amazing with his customer service, he was fantastic! The food also was maybe the best of our US trip. We had seafood and ribs - both spectacular. The restaurant and bar are in a lovely friendly setting.... More

The Anchor was recommended to us by our hotel and another merchant as being a good place to go and they were right. By the time we got there at about 6:00 there was not a seat to be had and we were lucky to sit at the bar. This proved to be a great choice as the Anchor seems... More

We have made many trips to Wilmington, but this was our first visit to The Anchor. It is located just off Main Street at the traffic light. We stopped for lunch and sat at the bar. Our bartender was probably one of the best bartenders/server that we have ever had. Outgoing, friendly ( but not over the top) and efficient.... More

We visit Wilmington a few times a year for over 20 years, so we get to know the local restaurants. At this time, the Anchor is the best quality, most consistent restaurant in town. The prime rib was very good, if a bit past the requested medium-rare, and the sesame crusted ahi tuna was very good too.
