Disappointed in the entire experience.

Anticipated a great meal and great overall experience but got neither. Experience started badly when the waiter pressured us to order a round of mini apps even before we got our menus or chose a wine. Continued with us ordering a sparkling that they did not even have on hand. Continued again... read more

Thank you for visiting our newly renovated restaurant at the Inn at Sawmill. We are glad you enjoyed how the beautifully the food is presented on our new menu, but how sorry we are that you had an unusually unfortunate experience with us overall. It is regrettable you felt pressured to order one of our delicious pre-meal bites to enjoy... More

Good meatballs (huge size), some nice pasta dishes. Tables not always (weddings can lock up all available spots). We would return again.

So, we now have great Italian food again in the Valley! Couldn't be happier to have another go to place. There will be growing pains of course, but should be expected because the food is excellent. I hope they can gear it up for the coming ski season cause they are going to be very busy. Please note, this is... More

What a difference!. This is now a very good restaurant with an interesting menu and all we had was delicious and different from usual Italian. We had to ask for a few clarifications due to unknown items..We did not take the prix fixe (too much!) although it seemed to be the recommendation. Will definitely try it again.

WE've been to the restaurant many times and were disappointed to learn that it had been taken over by the mega giant Hermitage. The price fixed dinner does not accommodate vegetarians. The second course had no viable offerings. We did not, therefore, order price fix and were astounded when our overpriced pasta course arrived with a portion appropriate for a... More

The Hermitage has taken over the Inn and recreated the restaurant. (FYI - Hermitage is the ONLY private ski club/mountain in the East! Check it out!) There's a new chef at Nonna's and he has created an authentic Italian eating experience at the Saw Mill Inn. From the moment the server introduces themselves they are offering specials for the evening... More

It's serious southern Italian now but the food quality was a big surprise. Unlike the rest of the Inn, the chef knows his stuff. Pastas were homemade and not overcooked. Sauces well balanced - excellent Pomodoro. High quality meats and vegetables. Pricey but really, very good. Wine list needs to be better.

We got to nonnas for our 830pm reservation & there wasn't a host at the reservation table to seat us. When Marco finally arrived he told another group that they would have to wait at the bar because the kitchen was backed up. He didn't even look at us or ask us our names and proceeded to walk away. Therefore,... More

I apologize about your experience. We were overwhelmed when you arrived and I was helping to check guests into a room. When I arrived to greet you, there was your group together with another group. I asked who arrived first and the other group said they did so I helped them first. I asked both groups to please wait to... More

We have been to this restaurant before have always enjoyed it. The food is fine and we would have enjoyed it this time too except for a switch and bait tactic they use. We love Italian food and saw that they had a special two days of the week, so we went there thinking that would be great and then... More

Thanks for the feedback, but there was really no bait and switch. We've been offering these specials for well over a year. It was an oversight on the server's part. We hope you will try us again. More

We were craving Italian food. We called to make a reservation but no one answered the phone. Got there about 30 minutes after opening. No one was there to greet us. We made our way upstairs by following the signs. Food was great, service was okay. They had a guitarist playing in the bar area near to where we were... More
