Great atmosphere of surroundings food is good as are selection of wines but both very pricey. This used to be a great place to go after skiing but now between $$$$ and the attitudes of staff not worth the aggravation of snootiness from staff

We went to the Hermitage in the middle of October. By the middle to end of October the foliage season is over in Vermont. Therefore, the crowds have ebbed slightly. James and I love a good meal and we were excited to try the Hermitage. BEWARE, we are not residents of VT and as a result used our GPS, we... More

We have been coming to the Hermitage for years and have enjoyed it. It is a bit pricey and until the most recent chef was hired, the food was average at best. The most recent chef has definitely kicked it up. Since our visit was in the summer they were out of several items on the menu, but as the... More

My boyfriend and I recently decided to pop in to the Hermitage while on vacation after having it recommended to us. We only planned on checking it out for dinner later on that evening as we were still in jeans from our day and felt we needed to go to our B&B to change in order to eat in such... More

Very good food for a "19th hole" on a golf course. Salads were fresh, burgers good and very good service. I wouldn't have minded having breakfast there as well.

Lovely place, dead at this time of year but menu didn't suffer. Good wine list, excellent food, friendly and efficient, if not polished service. No problem with gluten-free for the celiac member of our party. Very good cocktails, even on a quiet night. Portions a little large - a plus for some, we prefer smaller.

We absolutely love the fine dining restaurant. I know there is also food service in the pub, but we always go to the back for white glove dining. Service is impeccable and the food is oh-so-good. Menu changes frequently and lots of times depends on what is fresh and available. Well worth the higher tab.

This trip was the result of a "special invitation" to spend a day at the Hermitage Club at Haystack Mountain. The designated meeting place for the invitees and the days activities was at the Inn. The activities included a cross between a continental breakfast and full breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks and drinks, and dinner, skiing, snowmobiling, skating, and cross country... More

Love the ambiance but the menu rarely changes and next to nothing healthy on the menu... forget about masking a reservation on a holiday weekend unless your a Hermitage member ...and that's not a cheap ticket

We have had brunch at the Hermitage in the past and love it. We decided to go again only to be hugely disappointed. They have change from an a la carte brunch to a buffet. When we arrived for our reservation they were unprepared, food was not in chaffing dishes, stations were not yet staffed and ready to go. Our... More
