Best sandwiches in the area, hands down

They make their bread in house - perfect hoagie, soft but great texture to hold up to all the goodies they offer to put on them. Wings are done right as well. Chili has a real nice kick. My favorite is the cheesesteak - meat is very thinly sliced and the cheese is ooey gooey, melted perfectly. My... read more

There are not a lot of restaurant options in Dover, VT. Fortunately, there is the Valley View Saloon. This place is great for both food and beer. And despite being a "saloon", it is family-friendly. My wife and I liked the food so much one night, we went back for dinner the following night as well. I had the Reuben... More

The Valley View Saloon was rated highly on here so my boyfriend and I decided to check it out. We ordered nachos (two thumbs way up on those) and mozzarella sticks to start -- portions were way bigger than we expected, so I was too full to even finish the sandwich I ordered (which was also great). The games were... More

Great place for a beer and sandwich. Friendly bartenders. Good for watching a football game or just enjoying the people at the bar. Recommended the corned beef although it doesn't measure up to real New York deli sandwiches.

My family and I had dinner here over the MLK holiday weekend and we really enjoyed our meal. They don't take reservations so we were a little worried about wait time. We waited no more than 20 mins and the food and service were both great. We shared the chili fries as an app and then we each ordered burgers.... More

Had the black and bleu burger, cooked perfectly medium rare, which doesn't happen often, what appeared to be hand crafted sweet potato fries. It was really good. I ate ate the bar, service was fast and efficient, the bar tender introduced himselft and remembered my name. It's a saloon, looks like one, but doesn't smell like one. A meeting place... More

The place is really small, so expect to wait on weekends. The staff is very nice and did a great job handling a packed bar/saloon. Food was good and large portions. I got the chefs salad, which can easily serve a family of four !!! All round a good bet for pub/saloon style eating .

this was my final of 4 dinners in Dover and it was by far the best. That includes silo (terrible), 1846 (hit and miss) and Dover Joes (hit and miss and miss). The Asian wings were awesome / near the tops I've ever had, the burger solid, wraps, sandwiches all good. Atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. And they have a... More
