A great place for food and drink in Dover, VT

There are not a lot of restaurant options in Dover, VT. Fortunately, there is the Valley View Saloon. This place is great for both food and beer. And despite being a "saloon", it is family-friendly. My wife and I liked the food so much one night, we went back for dinner the following night as well... read more

The menu has a great variety and so far everything we have tried has been delicious! Corn beef, turkey, chicken, veggie dumplings, burgers, quesadillas, soups...no complaints on anything!

We went expecting a brunch buffet and got a breakfast which was not even very good. I think we all had eggs of some kind and most of us had an omelet. The omelets were very bland, and served with a couple of nondescript slices of fruit .

What a great little restaurant, crowded on weekends due to skier traffic but awesome food and wonderful wait staff on the 2 occasions we dined..would highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back!

Perfect for apres ski casual dinner after skiing at Mount Snow. Great beers on tap, awesome sandwiches... I had the pastrami, probably the best I've ever had and I'm from NYC!!!

We went to dinner with another family. The place is small and more of a bar than a restaurant and it is not kids friendly. We waited 45 min for the appetizer and 45 min for the meal. The food is good bad the service is bad, our waitress was not friendly md did not pay attention to us what... More

The food took literally an hour to come. Then the main course took another half an hour. Unless you a returning customer you are completely ignored. I do not recomend this place and the food is bad.

They make their bread in house - perfect hoagie, soft but great texture to hold up to all the goodies they offer to put on them. Wings are done right as well. Chili has a real nice kick. My favorite is the cheesesteak - meat is very thinly sliced and the cheese is ooey gooey, melted perfectly. My husbands favorite... More

The Valley View Saloon was rated highly on here so my boyfriend and I decided to check it out. We ordered nachos (two thumbs way up on those) and mozzarella sticks to start -- portions were way bigger than we expected, so I was too full to even finish the sandwich I ordered (which was also great). The games were... More
