My family and I had dinner here over the MLK holiday weekend and we really enjoyed our meal. They don't take reservations so we were a little worried about wait time. We waited no more than 20 mins and the food and service were both great. We shared the chili fries as an app and then we each ordered burgers.... More

Had the black and bleu burger, cooked perfectly medium rare, which doesn't happen often, what appeared to be hand crafted sweet potato fries. It was really good. I ate ate the bar, service was fast and efficient, the bar tender introduced himselft and remembered my name. It's a saloon, looks like one, but doesn't smell like one. A meeting place... More

The place is really small, so expect to wait on weekends. The staff is very nice and did a great job handling a packed bar/saloon. Food was good and large portions. I got the chefs salad, which can easily serve a family of four !!! All round a good bet for pub/saloon style eating .

this was my final of 4 dinners in Dover and it was by far the best. That includes silo (terrible), 1846 (hit and miss) and Dover Joes (hit and miss and miss). The Asian wings were awesome / near the tops I've ever had, the burger solid, wraps, sandwiches all good. Atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. And they have a... More

This was our first time to Dover, and we had received recommendations to go to the Saloon. Service was amazing. They were very busy, but made us seem like we were the top priority. The whiskey onion soup was delicious. We plan to visit the area next year and we will definitely make a visit back here.

This place is just amazing! No matter how busy they are, they are very accommodating! Even when you have kids with you! We showed up there on Friday night and they were packed. We were 4 adults with 2 children and they went above and beyond to get us a table and to make sure we were comfortable! WOW! The... More

Other reviews are spot on. Lots of beer on tap, VERY good staff, excellent service and very good food. BLT does have 8 pieces of bacon! Burgers are properly cooked and Delicious. Reuben is overstuffed! Bring a big appetite. Very popular w locals so getting a seat is tough. Not a steal but worth the size and quality. Only problem... More

Party of three were out leaf peeping and headed towards Dot's in Wilmington. Drizzling rain and I knew that parking in town would be a problem due to the heavy traffic for foliage season. Made a snap decision to instead stop at Valley View Saloon in Dover. First timer. Decor minimal. Expected just bar food at first but menu had... More

Another motorcycle ride and destination to Valley View Saloon. Friends brought us here last year on a m'cycle ride. I got the Jesse James chicken cutlet sandwich that time. A very large piece of chicken, cooked perfectly - still moist and tender. Everyone's sandwiches were exceptional. So last Saturday, for a foliage ride we headed there again. I got the... More
