What you'd expect.

They only have can soft drinks, which I don't like. But the food was what you'd expect and it was made fresh, no buffet. The prices were cheap. The staff had limited English, but they were polite and eager to please. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

The China Star restaurant in Waterbury is a family run and the food is very consistent and affordable with a very broad menu. Every entree order is cooked to order and you can watch the prep of your meal from the counter. The family is friendly and the service is fast. They use good quality ingredients and the portions are... More

This is essentially a Chinese takeout restaurant but has more than the usual 2-3 tables of such places. Since we were eating in, the food came out on reusable plastic plates with plastic utencils. Food was plentiful and served hot. TV in the dining area provided local news and weather. The menu items were average for such restaurants. We had... More

My husband and I both ordered the General Tsaos Chicken and we threw away both meals completely! What a waste of our money. The chicken was like the scrap fatty pieces that you would normally trim off the chicken and discard. They breaded it, fried it and called it a specialty dish! YUK.....The Wonton soup was horrible! That went down... More

Great food everytime I come back to eat! I drive away from 4 local asian places and take the extra 15 minute drive to get great food! The owners are pleasant as well. Not a fancy looking place but very clean and the food is great!

Great selection of delicious Chinese food, but also offers a selection of American food, seafood, and sushi. We were seated immediately and the service was great and the food superb. We ate in, but they also offer takeout from a menu or buffet. We greatly enjoyed the buffet. Cheerfully recommend.

I have never eaten chinese food that was as greasy as it was at this location. Plus there was a major salt over kill also. After my ecperience there this even I will never again go there when i'm in Waterbury visiting.

I should preface this review with a disclaimer that I am not a big fan of Chinese food in general. Or at least, not cheapo takeout Chinese food. The food here is 95% grease, no matter what you get it tastes the same. Their crab rangoons are disgusting - basically fried wonton wrappers with a pea sized dollop of an... More

It seemed to be the only Chinese option in the area, but it suited our purpose because it was also one of the few places with takeout available and we didn't have a restaurant at our hotel. It has all the usual suspects on the menu with a decent quality and price. Takeout only, no restaurant on site.
