Local folks' bar and eatery.

Full of atmosphere. Can be a bit raucous but that's because it's used by many locals who are enjoying themselves. We liked it very much. The ribs are terrific and lots of great beers too. If you're after fine dining go elsewhere but for a great pub experience this is for you.

Definitely a locals place! Great atmosphere, and very good food. Friendly waitstaff! WE did call ahead to make sure there was no wait, and were told there was a 45 minute wait. However when we drove past there were parking spaces, so decided to stop in a see. We were seated right aways and serviced fast! They must have been... More

I had the pulled chicken sandwich and was pleased. My husband had the salad with shrimp and was very pleased.

We just got back from Canadian Thanksgiving spent in Vermont - this restaurant happened to be located within walking distance of the Inn we were staying at, but even if it were not, would have easily become our favourite place to eat. Food was amazing both nights we went for dinner ( I had a pulled chicken sandwich one night,... More

Stopped in to give it a try. The outside looks questionable at best. Inside has exposed beams and wood, and has great rustic appeal. They offer Tex/Mex and BBQ. The wait staff was attentive, but the kitchen very SLOW. We were there for more than 45 minutes before we finally got our food. Did I mention Slow? The Tex/Mex was... More

My delightful experience with Localfolk Smokehouse and its gracious owner, John Morris, was somewhat different that the usual restaurant patron's, since in our case we rented the whole place out for a 4-hour private event. In conjunction with our son's September 2015 destination wedding in Waitsfield, VT, my husband and I reserved Localfolk for our Saturday evening rehearsal dinner for... More

The ribs here were pretty sad. They look like Chinese spare ribs from back in the day, and charge you $19.00 for 6. It's not a rack of ribs at all. I literally could not pull the meat off with my hands. I got my money back.

Rustic setting filled with locals drinking a wide variety of beers. Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff. Excellent pulled pork, but ribs were charred black.

The BBQ had been teasing us every day while going by the corner of RT 100 and RT 17. We were like moths to a flame, drawn. We were greeted by a smiling 18 year old that was happy with her job and answered most of our questions. When quizzed on beer she admitted that she couldn't drink yet so... More

Used it for take out-- the BBQ was fantastic and the grilled veggies were a great counterpoint. Bartender is a friendly character.
