Good place for a post ski beer.

Always watch the Superbowl here.A partisan crowd if any East coast team make it, which makes for a good atmosphere. Great choice of beers and food (And plenty of it, try sharing the nachos). Warm and friendly.

I grew up in the Mad River Valley and this bar/restaurant has been around since the 70's and has changed names a few times. I used to frequent it when it was called Moose Lips back in the day. Years later it became the Mad Mountain Tavern and was one of the most popular bar and restaurants in the valley...it... More

First place we went to in Mad River and it was good. Great food at a great price. Definitely less expensive and fancy than some of the other places, this places serves up a good bite that won't break the wallet

On holiday with 5 family and friends from the UK we were staying in a Cabin in Sugarbush resort and saw this restaurant whilst out in the town and deciced to return for an evening meal. So glad we did, we were made to feel welcome in what is very much a locals Bar. The girls who looked after us... More

A good place for lots of smoked food at a reasonable price. Funky interior, with surprisingly nice gardens in the back. Well smoked meats, and plenty of it, friendly service, lots so locals eating here. You will not walk away hungry. Our friends had tex-mex options which they also liked. The ribs were especially good

Warning...Do not go here too late in the evening. It is a bar for local folks, thus the name. With that out of the way let me say that the owners of this place know how to smoke Pork. Going to Vermont from Virginia I did not expect to find really good BBQ. This place proved me wrong. Theirs is... More

Real barbeque and a great selection of craft beers. Ribs were dry rubbed and delicious. Revolving selection of local and other premium beers at reasonable prices

Very casual, good service, very good pulled pork with 2 sides. Not crowded when we went - early evening. No AC, only open windows & fans, which might be a problem for some.

Found out from of the locals that for now Wed nights are $1 rib night. What else can I say, excellent beer on tap and excellent $1 ribs. Beware that the ribs are twice as expensive on other nights.
