Easy Street has new owners & name. Look for my review of the Elusive Moose in Waitsfield. Definitely worth checking out.
Don't expect to find it open for business. Easy Street is closed and up for sale. Local real estate types say that it looks grim, and not likely to reopen as a restaurant. The next closest place is Ake's Den, also on Route VT 100, for burgers and general cafe style food; and good for drinks. For BBQ and beer... More
Building is empty. Jay's closed, too- but that's really a good thing, IMHO. Nothing really close to Easy street is still open nightly- but tracks, in the pitcher inn, is lovely if you're seeking a nice tap selection, good cave, and casual sophistication. call to confirm their hours.... American Flatbread is only open intermittently...and overrated. Their independently contracted sushi night... More
We always stop here while in Vermont for a wonderful breakfast. We've never been disappointed in the food here. It's a very comfortable restaurant with friendly service. Put this on your list of places to try when in the area!

Been here for breakfast several times. You order at the counter, get your own beverages and clean up after yourself. But the portions are big, the food is yummy and you'll usually see someone you know there.

Had salmon with the most delicious pureed avocado/mango sauce which we tried to recreate the next night at home. The menu had something for everyone, including vegetarians. Only complaint was that the waitress had trouble even cracking... More
We just had breakfast and it was good. You order at the counter, but are served. Rather limited breakfast menu. You clear your own dishes and pour your own water, which is fine. The room where we sat had a big fireplace and it would have been nice if the fire was lighted, since it was cold!!
