Homemade and Friendly

Love this casual cafe for its fresh and whole-food sandwich ingredients. The substantial turkey and ham gobbler was delicious. The chai latte's have just enough spice and fill a void for those of us who are addicted to the Starbucks version. And it being Vermont, the cafe has plenty of maple sugar... read more

You would think that a business that relies on customers to stay open would at least attempt to have decent customer service, but not this place. The few times that I've gone in and been treated like a human being have been good, with great food and coffee. However, it is the many other times that I've visited and been... More

Positives; The coffee (and chai) is very good. The bagels were surprisingly good for VT. The shop has some cute things. Cons; Pass on any of the cooked breakfast sandwiches. I had something with salmon which was just not good and the same for my husband's egg sandwich.

This place is terrific - they are open daily until 3pm and they serve coffee, latte, cocoa and many other drinks as well as offer scones, muffins and other goodies. They have lunch items, soups and sandwiches though I have never been there for lunch. I have gone there a few times in the past couple of years when I... More

Just like home. Good food. Good coffee. Nice people. Nice atmosphere. Next to the hardware store. Only one mile from home.

The day we were there they had a waffle buffet and a visit from Santa. Lots of fun antiques to browse through. A genuine Vermont experience.

Been here many times but it was my last visit that will stop me from visiting again. I've never had a problem with their coffee, maybe a little overpriced, but the place can be a little messy at times and not very good service. Last visit, I decided to try a pastry along with my coffee. It was the last... More

Baked goods are the special attraction here along with always fresh coffee. All the coffee is freshly ground and freshly made. The espresso and cappuccinos and lattes are very good, but not outstanding. The scones, turnovers, bagels, pastries, and croissants are the prime attractions. Sandwiches and spreads are flavorful and above average. The staff is friendly and efficient. The pleasant,... More

There was just something slightly off. Maybe it was the charge for refills on coffee (a pet peeve of mine for coffee places,) maybe it was the unkempt tables outside, maybe it was the lack of a bus area to take my dishes back when I was finished - take those as suggestions, I suppose. Still, the staff was very... More

Ground zero in this area for GREAT coffee among with baked goods, sandwiches and ground or whole bean coffee to go. The owner recommended their own Artisans Turkish Blend and I bought a pound. The car smelled fantastic all the way home. I can't wait until tomorrow morning when we pull out our "French Press."
