Ahhhmazing

Such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. The staff was more than willing to supply bread and suggested options for "Carbo-loading" for my husband for the Vermont City race. We ordered off the menu pan - fried calamari (description does not do it justice), pancetta & asparagus orecchiette (for the runner... read more

This family owned and run restaurant was wonderful. The wife is the hostess and the husband is the cook the children are servers. All were very friendly and made sure we had what we needed. The husband came out to check on us and to make sure we enjoyed the food. We will go back again.

We were looking for a nice anniversary dinner after skiing and decided to try Peasant after hearing raves. It's a small, cozy, welcoming restaurant with a selective menu and absolutely exquisite food. Peasant Restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced. My wife had an orechette entrée and I had chicken and mushrooms. Both were truly exquisite – really good flavorings. Honestly,... More

We didn't have reservations, but were offered a seat at the bar, which was great. We really enjoyed an excellent meal, with very good service. We also stayed for the musical entertainment. A memorable evening in Vermont!!

Hard to get a reservation if you don't plan ahead. The food is great, especially the specials. The atmosphere is cozy with an unusual floor plan. The Jazz band was nice.

This restaurant is a wonderful little spot. My husband and I visited on a saturday night during a school vacation week. We had a reservation and was seated immediately at a nice quiet table. The special board was large with a couple of apps and several dinner entrees. I felt I should order a special, however chose the Chicken Marsala... More

The bread is heavenly, the Buena Vista Pino Noir was lovely, the food was fantastic, the setting and the decor were charming on a snowy night. The staff and service were excellent. This resto deserves its #1 rating.

you could make a meal on the fabulous warm bread and olive oil, but save room for the rest of the meal. The vegetarian soup was delicious. The menu had two delicious fish options for the non-meat eaters. Be warned...do not arrive early. Whatever time they advertise that they open is exactly when they open the door...and not a minute... Top notch food at a great price. The ragout was incredible and atmosphere was cozy. Nice craft beer choices, but I wish it had some on draft..
