In August 2012 a new restaurant will take the location of the former Green Cup which was totally destroyed by the flooding of the Mad River, during the 2011 Hurricane Irene. The new restaurant will be called the "Peasant: A Simple Feast." Chef owners are Mr. Chris Alberti and Ms. Mary Ellen Alberti. They will feature some local wines from... More

We are looking forward to the reopening of the Green Cup. The Green Cup has served the best food in all of Vermont, and the entire greater Lake Champlain region. Chef Owner Jason Gulisano is currently retooling his meat carving skills at a local slaughter house. Because of the Green Cup's top ratings and high esteem among Vermonters, Jason has... More

I think this place is popular because its in a great location. The food is fair (and pricey) and the service is horrible.

Our extended family all enjoyed a tasty and relaxing brunch/ lunch. Unlike some reviewers, we have no complaints about the service. Wish we'd found it earlier in our stay.

The Cup has fresh baked breads and pastries with superlative texture and taste. Salads sing with flavor and freshness. They have a new and delightful soup every day. Possibly the best restaurant in all the state of Vermont. In the past 3 years we have dined at the Cup many times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Chef owner Jason Gulisano... More

The Green cup was recommended by a local Inn keeper. We liked it so much we were able to book our wedding dinner for our party of 24 guests. The Green Cup is situated next to one of Vermont's oldest covered bridges. You can choose to sit out back of the restaurant next to a lovely stream that meanders under the... More

My son, his wife, my husband and I visited the Green Cup for dinner. Our food took forever to arrive, which the waitress, who basically ignored my queries, blamed on the fact that my son ordered a starter and the rest of us did not. This after I assured my son that a competent kitchen would adjust the timing accordingly!... More

My husband and I had the one of the best breakfast that was not only creative and tasty but the setting is to die for. The outdoor section behind this restaurant is very relaxing and a beautiful setting with a typical Vermont covered bridge along side it and a creative sitting area with wrought iron tables looking over a stream.

The food and the atmosphere are both great. It really stands out in the Valley- quality ingredients, local produce, and artfully presented. The athmosphere is relaxed, and the setting is refined county style. If I were able to dream up a spot for this little area, it would be pretty much like this place. :)

When I stay at Sugarbush, I drive from Warren to Waitsfield everyday to have breakfast here with my kids....I usually end up eating too much because I have to try a couple of the fresh baked goods....Lunch is excellent too.
