We went to this restaurant because everyone we asked said it's the place where all the locals go. It's located in a basement in the back of a building on Main Street. The food was good and the service was very friendly and attentive but the setting is dull, dark and musty. Everyone in the family found something good to... More

Nice dark ambiance, just so so cocktails, good service. Our chicken wings and another chicken dish which ended up to have the exact same chicken finger style meat. Good value for kids meals, including drinks and dessert. Just a mediocre meal here.

We had high expectations of Harrison's and were delighted with our experience. Everything was right -- food, presentation, service, ambiance. Be sure to make reservations since it's small and very popular.

We found a very charming restaurant in Stowe; it is where the locals dine. One gentleman who was waiting for his table called it "Stowe's best kept secret." It is extremely popular and for good reason; they offer many selections on their menu; entrees average about $20 and the food is delicious -- KUDOS to the chef, he/she is very... More

This is a basement. A small, very warm basement, with awkward and cramped seating. I had very oily/rubbery calamari and a grilled rib eye that was gray and brown because it was obviously cooked on a flat top griddle. My wife and I read the other reviews, so we gave the 2nd best restaurant in Stowe a try... HUGE MISTAKE.... More

We always eat at Harrisons when we are ski-ing at Stowe. We book a table before we leave the UK as it is so popular that if you leave it until the last minute you risk not being able to get a reservation. Last year my husband had a “special” called Lobster Mac, which he absolutely loved so when we... More

Very friendly greeting by host. Server a bit stiff, but competent, quick, and non intrustive. We had requested a back booth in the corner and got it (we had an early reservation). We love the ambiance--quiet and romantic. The booths add privacy like no other restaurant we've been to in Stowe. We began with tomato/saffron soup--an incredible culinary experience--impossible to... More

I travelled to Stowe, Vermont in February and of course had to stop in at my favourite restaurant - Harrison's. My meal as usual was wonderful, the staff were great. I have never been disappointed when going there. It is a small, intimate restaurant with loads of character. Usually the owner, Kathy, is there to welcome you. I always feel... More

I had the traditional fish and chips. Great food - they had more on the menu than just bar food too. The spinach artichoke dip was to die for - also had a good local beer selection.
