Every year while on vacation in VT, we make it a point to eat at Harrison's at least once. It was chilly and rainy this time, so we had to eat inside. The atmosphere is always inviting and the staff are attentive and helpful. As usual, we all had excellent meals! Hubby had the baramundi special which he found perfectly... More

This trip was sort of last minute, but based on our experience last year we made sure we had reservations for Harrison's. Its a quality place and has been busy when we were here both summers. Its rustic, friendly and cozy, what you might picture when imagining a fine eating and drinking establishment in a small town in New England.... More

This place is amazing; There's an outside patio and a basement bar/restaurant, both of which we've been to. The food was of excellent quality, and the service was superb.

We came into Stowe on a Monday and most restaurants were closed. We were happy to find Harrison's open and also very good. They had a wide range of foods and wines as well as local beers. Our server was very helpful and we enjoyed talking to him. A cozy space downstairs from the street. We will go back next... More

what a wonderful find. I regret not hearing about it sooner, as I would have gone to dine there both nights I was in town. As one steps off the last step in the staircase, you are surrounded by a warm wood charm. I sat at the bar, and was greeted by the polite and professional Andrew. I was so... More

This place is in the basement of an old hardware store, and it is cozy with a wonderful atmosphere and decor. The meals we had were so delicious we rated it the best we had on our entire trip. The pork loins were like small roasts rather than just pieces cut from a roll, and the seabass was an entire... More

We were on vacation at Stowe and ended up eating here twice. The service was excellent as well as the food! Loved eating downstairs, but the patio was very nice as well. There was a mix-up with our reservation and they were very accommodating. Definitely eat here on you trip to Stowe!

My husband and I had supper a few months back at Harrison's. In general, the food was fine, maybe a cut above pub food, but nothing special. The green salads were very ordinary-to-disappointing and overly chilled, with rather tasteless tomatoes, and standard prepared dressings, not home-made. I had chicken piccata and mashed potatoes, which tasted good but would have been... More

Haven't been here in a couple of years, and I'm happy to say: Better than ever! Started with cocktails, perfectly made. Special soup was roasted red pepper, tomato, and chipotle - not creamy, very fresh, VERY tasty. Members of our group had gnocchi (unusual variation), Marlin, trout, and some other more standard fare. Everything was excellent!! Slightly creative, but not... More
