Cozy atmosphere, good food, and local beers on tap. Go hungry and you won't be disappointed. Cant go wrong with the Mussels or Blueberry Apple Crumb Pie.

First impressions was that this was a nice place. Given the positive reviews we were looking forward to eating outside on their delightful outdoor patio on a warm sunny October day. Too bad the service and food didn't hold up to our expectations. Sat down and ordered wine. Ordered lunch ten minutes later, still no wine, no water. Food came... More

We asked a few locals where we should go for lunch and this restaurant was the consensus winner. They have several local brews on tap and the food was fantastic. The portions were big enough that my wife brought half of hers back to the condo with her.

Loved the lunch I had here. Really good food and great place to go if you are in the downtown area. Great ambiance. Good service!

After a scheduling error with another restaurant, I was angry and ready to give up on dinner until my husband convinced me to try this little gem. It is attached to an Inn and was very busy however, they seated us immediately. We had onion straws to start followed by the roasted beet salad- excellent! I then had the lobster... More

We stayed at the Green Mountain Inn 3 nights and were there every night. Sit at the bar as the bartenders are very friendly but also very knowledgeable about the local beers they are serving.

Good basic food with decent service. I had Turkey Dinner and Creme Brulee and couldn't fault it for what it was- good honest food. The only things I disliked were that it was very warm and rather dark in the restaurant and the kitchen is open so there are, at times, some rather distracting smells and noises whilst eating.. I... We came in at an odd time for a late lunch, but the food was very good. The pumpkin cheesecake was excellent. Nice décor. The place was busy for mid afternoon.

We ate here both nights during our stay at the attached Green Mountain Inn. The food was fresh, interesting and delicious. The service was a little haphazard at times but the experience overall was charming. Our two children aged 3 and 6 were well catered for with nice food choices and crayons/drawings. Highly recommended.

The Whip is a great restaurant with good food and friendly staff. Its located right next to the Green Mountain Inn and complements it perfectly. It is very convenient if you are staying at the hotel or any of the other surrounding hotels that are located near by. There is always a good crowd during the ski season and great... More
