German food at it's best.

We enjoyed the food a lot, and our waiter was very congenial. He even offered to bring a more comfortable chair outside so we could sit around the pool to eat.

We're grateful for the feedback about our food and service, Cindy. Fully accommodating our guests is very important to us, so it's always wonderful to hear that we're following through on that goal. I hope you'll be back to see us someday! All the best, CJ Grimes, Innkeeper More

Try Coslin's Pub, downstairs at the Stowehof, for a true informal pub atmosphere. Amazingly priced mid-week specials for tasty burgers and salads if you go early [like 5:30 or 6:00pm], and a limited bar menu, plus you can order off the upstairs menu if you want. Speed of service is a function of how busy they are upstairs, which can't... More

I'm impressed by how much you know! You're absolutely right about Coslin's Pub and the upstairs menu -- we're happy to offer both options to our guests. You're also correct about our events. We can get busy, so calling ahead would be great to check on wait times. Thanks for offering such great tips -- I'm sure others will appreciate... More

Fun place to have a drink and a great burger. We stayed at the lodge that this place is attached to we we visited it three nights in a row. You can get an appetizer a burger or a good meal from their menu. All are good.

Thanks for letting us know how much you liked the pub, Donald! I think it's a great way to give guests a bit of nightlife without having to leave the inn, so it's wonderful to know that you were a fan of it and the burgers. I hope you'll come stay with us again someday -- the pub and food... More

My husband and I went to Coslin's Pub for dinner. The downstairs pub was warm and cozy. We both had the mussels, which were very good. However, the service was horrible! Two parties came and sat outside, and were served their drinks before we were even asked if we wanted anything to drink. There was a bartender and 2 servers,... More

I'm sorry that you didn't receive above and beyond service with us -- that sounds like a very frustrating experience. It's our goal at Coslin's to cater to each of our guests, so it's strange for me to hear about this. I can assure you that we're usually very attentive to each table and have no favoritism over one or... More

This pub had great food and a great atmosphere. Was a bit pricey but worth the trip. Was really nice with a warm fireplace and low lights at night. Felt like a true pub

We arrived at the hotel shortly after the kitchen had closed. After being on the road for close to twelve hours, we were very happy to hear the cook would accommodate us and he made two of the tastiest burgers we have ever had. The waitress was a delight and the pub is a quaint and intimate setting. We did... More

Specializing in fondue but the other dishes were very tasty. Liked the poolside dining option. Also enjoyed the firepit outside, after dinner.

Went on a sleigh ride and then downstairs for a drink and appetizer. What a blast. Great bartender!!!! Also ordered wings and cheese tray, it was great. Then went upstairs and sat by the fire, had a fantastic time.

We were enjoying our winter stay at the Stowehoff Inn and our party of four decided to try the main restaurant one night for dinner. The menu is somewhat limited, but we all found selections to our liking. Maybe it was an off night, but our meals were bland and mediocre at best, reflecting a poor value for the prices... More
