Read the reviews (in TripAdvisor and in Frommer's) and had a certain expectation. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet the expectations. Food was just ok. Started with a chilled cucumber dill soup. In my opinion, it was just puréed cucumbers with dill added. There was no development of any flavours, no synergy created. That may be a limitation of chilled... More

This was a fantastic restaurant I had the coconut curried vegetables and without doubt was one of the best meals I have had in quite some time.

Whenever we visit Stowe we always go to the Blue Moon. We like upscale delicious food and great service. Recently had venison, filet of beef and one diner opted for 2 appetizers in place of entre because, well we just wanted to try it all. I particularly liked my salad that was a different mixture of greens, nuts, local goat... More

Our meal was delicious! I am looking forward to going back and trying something else - the whole menu looked very good. It's a little bit pricey but for a nice couples dinner, splurge a little, it will be worth it! Very nicely decorated, as well, and the server was a delight.

To be fair, we ate here the night after eating at Michael's on the Hill, which is AMAZING. This restaurant has different aspirations. The service was very good and the decor was nice, decorated with pieces of art that were on sale. The food was very good, but not up to the standards of Michael's. Worth a visit, but not... More

My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and every time we go it just gets better. The service, menu and of the course the food is the best. This review is from 30 years of experience in this business as an owner. You have to remember that some people and other owners use... More

We went to the Blue Moon recently with friends we had not seen in several years. The space is small and usually fairly quiet, but with a large family seated next to us, it did get a bit noisy. But not like other restaurants where you have to constantly shout the entire meal to carry on a conversation. (What IS... More

We found the Blue Moon café when we were in Stowe and will make this our go to restaurant when we come back. Amazing food and wonderful staff. The best in Stowe.

My expectations were high, but nothing was like all I´ve read about the restaurant. The food is correct, the flavours are good but... nothing special, homemade food, nothing special. One foodie like me, need more, and specially if you pay the high prices that this restaurant has.

Perhaps visiting on a Sunday night was the problem, but I'm still paying $38 for a veal chop which was so small I likely had 5-6 bites of meat. My husband ordered the $34 filet mignon - 2 small pieces were served -1 was sour tasting the other good Cheese plate was good as was service but for these prices... More
