My son and I were in STOWE on a 4 day ski trip. We were looking for a steak dinner and reviewed the menu online. Menu looked like a fit. From reception to seating to table service we were apprehensive. The staff tried desperately to ignore us but we soldiered on and ordered a MALBEC wine to go with steak.... More

My wife and I read the reviews which were mixed but given we were staying at the Ye Old England Inn, the convenience trumped our reluctance and we're glad it did. Mr Pickwicks is delightful. Having traveled to England many times, we felt like we returned to a neighborhood pub. Outstanding ambiance, great service, and great food. My wife is... More

While the atmosphere is great, the food was not. Stale Fish and rubber chips for $21.00 was a rip off. Even the chicken on a house salad was overdone. Definitely would not recommend nor return.

My wife and I renewed our vowes at Olde English Inne / Mr Pickwicks and couldn't have had a better experience. Great location, intimate dining, and helpful, informed and attentive staff.

Super kind bartender made for a really nice New Year's eve here. It might be the only place in Stowe that doesn't have a DJ after 10pm. Also Heady Topper!

Despite being disappointed with our main entrees on our last visit we returned to Mr Pickwicks on our trip to Stowe because we loved the feel of the restaurant/bar and really enjoyed our appetizers last time. The four lilly soup is absolutely amazing and the best French onion soup ever! We ended up doing lunch and drinks here twice on... More

There were eight of us including two small children and as far as I am concerned we could not have been treated better--The wait-staff was very friendly, most attentive and made us feel welcome. I started with the baked potato soup and my main was the bangers & mash. Having been to school in England I knew what to expect... More

the soup-ceasar salad with shrimp and the Monte Christo were exceptional .the waitress gave me half the place setting and when I asked for a fork -she returned with a dirty one. the restaurant had few customers for a sunday. I will not be in a hurry to return.

I really wanted to like this place. I really did. I had never had beef wellington before and I was really excited to try it. We get there and the staff is not at all welcoming, we sit down in these odd pews that my husband (who is not a very large man) had to squeeze into because they were... More
