recently visited Stowe with my son. Had a wonderful dinner and great beer selection including Heady Topper..The staff was friendly and helpful and the owner made a point of visiting our table to make sure we had everything we needed and to check on whether we were enjoying the meal. She spent time and chatted with us and really made... More

I accompanied the Cactus Cafe with a family that I work with this past weekend; With us, was their son- a twenty year old male with Autism. The restaurant owner was incredibly kind and made all of us feel very welcome! To accommodate us, they gave us an option of 3 different quiet tables, turned down the music in the... More

We had an awesome evening meal here. We sat outside in the garden, it was so beautiful and we watched the hummingbirds fly from flower to flower. Margaritas were great, kids meals were good and I had a special which was spicy chicken kabobs which were very tasty. Service was great and the atmosphere was so laid back. Would definitely... More

This place has nice atmosphere and the food was great. We shared the special combo plate (burrito, enchilada and taco) and every dish was really good. My daughter had the chicken strips with fries and even that was super tasty! Also, the margueritas are wonderful!!! Finally, the staff was really nice and efficient but our main waitress was a little... More

The food is good, prices are reasonable, but you really have to try the margarita's. They are all outstanding.

My husband and I are local to the area. The service was good but food quality for the price is just average. He ordered the ribs and I had chicken fajita's. He said his was the best he has ever had while I thought that my dish was average in flavor and lacking in quality. My husband thought they were... More

My wife and I decided to go have Mexican for dinner and decided on Cactus Cafe, in Stowe. We made reservations as we know it gets busy in this summer season. Upon our arrival we were greated with big smiles and seated right away. The wait staff was very friendly as was the owner who is very much hands on.... More

It's not great big city Mexican food but still a lovely, casual evening of good warm chips and spicy salsa and margaritas and decent food. My friend and I had the Baja shrimp which was presented nicely and wasn't bad. Our husbands had more traditional Mexican fare which was fine. Overall a nice and fun evening outside in the beautiful... More

Entire experience was not worth it. Service was OK, but the food did not stand out at all. I ordered the combination, and got it all beef, but it tasted blah. The hard shell that came with it tasted stale. Even treated myself to a beer, and although it was good, they made no extra effort to bring it in... More
