Recently ate here. Convenient location and plenty of parking. Friendly wait staff. Margaritas were served in Pilsner sized glasses and were average quality. Fajitas were good. Beef is not finely sliced, more like 1" sized pieces sliced from a larger steak. Cut 'em smaller to fit in your tortillas. You are served 2 tortillas with your meal. I didn't ask... More

Had a very pleasant family meal at the Cactus. Was surprised at the quality of the food and the excellent service on the heels of a crazy busy holiday week. Server was polite and attentive but not overly so. Food was solid. My only complaint was that the habanero sauce/wings and jalapeno poppers were "toned down" from the glorious "fire"... More

We were vacationing in Stowe and we were very hungry after a long day of snowboarding, so we tried the Cactus cafe. We didn't have a reservation, and they were extremely packed. The owner was extremely hospitable and asked us if we could wait a few minutes to get a table together. The salsa was delicious, the poppers were extremely... More

Family and I needed a night out from the Stowe Mtn Lodge. Mexicano was the graving. The place is located on the mountain access road. Very pleasant atmosphere. Salsa was very good. Watch out for the poppers they were extremely hot. I mean ghost pepper hot. The burrito's were very good, and nice size. Service was also good. In Stowe... More

Fantastic food with very homemade flavors and an abundance of taste. Small restaurant so book early but very worth it!

Me and my family took a ski trip to Stowe last week and there are so many better restaurants in Stowe we were in Stowe for 4 days and went to dinner at 4 different restaurants and this was by far the worst. Terrible food, terrible service, tacky.

This is our 6th visit to Stowe and we always eat here at least once during our stays. We've found it to be easier to get in early when they open and make a reservation if possible. What we enjoyed: the good food and atmosphere. What we did not enjoy: waiting 15 minutes for beverages because the bartender was not... More

Why do restaurants replace popular menu items with "new" items? Cactus offered a Rojo Verde Enchilada which many of us loved. Now it's been replaced with anything but an improved dish (it was a joke actually). Never understand why some restaurants do this.

Cactus has been a mainstay for many years. Good margs, good food good service. Some new stuff on the menu is keeping them up to date and portions are well sized. Good value in a town that is on the high $ side. Make reservations or you will be disappointed. One of our family's favorites.

The service and atmosphere here was good. The food was average for a Mexican restaurant. We were not pleased with the tiny portions and left hungry. My wife's combination platter was tasty. My fajitas had lots of beans and a tiny piece of steak, barely enough for one fajita.
