Great live music and sushi

A nice priced sushi option right on a mountain stream. The live music is great and it is known for meeting new people and dancing. The pool tables are enjoyable.

Usually go here for the buy 2 get 3 sushi they offer which (surprisingly enough) is really good and price worthy! So even though we are in a remote are, I highly encourage you to try it out. Their pizzas, chicken fingers and fries are always a safe bet. Its a bit of a shabby place, but it does have... More

This was the first and best restaurant we tried in Stowe! Waiters are welcoming and friendly, the food very good ( we had their delicious salads) and prices reasonable. It was a little chilly sitting by the windows so we had to move tables. Quite lively atmosphere but not overly busy when we were there.

Service was up to par for a busy place ,our server was excellent. We sat where we could people watch but not right at the bar.The sushi tasted great and plated well.It is busy and loud so if you're looking for a quiet night for two pass on this place. We left after eating but if you want to continue to participate... We enjoyed stopping by the Matterhorn for a late lunch while finishing up an active morning. We started with lobster sliders which were very tasty and overfilled the small slider buns to the point you had to eat the rest with your fork. The slaw was cabbage and carrots with sesame oil and some sort of soy sauce and was... More

During our first night in Stowe, we ate dinner at the Matterhorn. I had a burger with fries, which was pretty average. Our server was friendly and very attentive. Atmosphere was pretty good, and there is a nice eating area in the back with a view of the river.

Amazing sushi! You would never expect to be served great sushi in this "ski bar" but it is some of the best I have ever had this side of Tokyo! Also great pizza and fun atmosphere

Hi Neil, It is undeniable that The Matterhorn has one of the top sushi chefs in the Northeast. He graduated from The South Korean Traditional cooking school and improved his sushi skills working in Japan, Russia, Germany and The UAE. He was the top sushi chef at Neta's ( rival of Nobu's) in NYC when we hired him. Obviously a chef of his skills will only work in a profeshional kitchen with top ingredients. Our pizzas are made from scratch and cooked in a wood fired oven the way they do it in Italy. We wouldn't even consider a convection oven. Our wings might be the best in the USA. Our steaks and burgers are all angus beef. My wife personally expedited all the food yesterday which feed over 600 customers. None of it took longer than 25 minutes. Our servers are the most highly paid in Stowe so we get the cream of the crop. I have owned The Matterhorn 17 years and we have always had a modest cover charge whenever we have a full band. We have a season pass to our live entertainment which costs $25 so that you will not have to pay any cover charges. We believe that establishments that don't charge covers for full bands or give away food are really just pleading to get customers in and embarrass themselves in our business community. . We have Greg Allman's son Michael performing here on Jan 16th along with Grammy award wining Charles Neville and award winning guitartist Jeff Pitchell. I can assure you that my wife and I couldn't be more proud of how The Matterhorn has evolved and of all the great people that frequent it. We find your comments both unfounded and hurtful.
