We've been to Stowe six times and have always eaten here at least once during eat visit. It is a quirky atmosphere with typical malt shop faire. We've always enjoyed our meal and service is typically friendly and good. The malts and milkshakes are good and usually more than we can drink. Sandwiches, burgers, soups, salads, grilled cheese, even chili... More

We paid out for the burger, an extra $1 for whatever the special beef was, asked for medium, it was mainly raw, the fries were rock-hard, if I'd had a hammer I could have used them as nails. The service was fine, so we left a tip ... in hindsight, shouldn't have.

We visited Stowe, Vermont to see the fall colors. We stopped in the Depot Street Malt Shop for lunch. The server was so friendly. They have a basic lunch menu, but the food is anything but basic. My husband had a pulled pork sandwich that had maple syrup that he said was absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend this restaurant... More

My husband and I liked everything about this place, it was exactly what we were looking for. Food was excellent, price was fair, staff were friendly. The decor is really fun and interesting, someone really put in a great deal of effort. They only take cash and there's an explanation on each table as to why they only take cash.... More

A cool little restaurant just off of the main street of Stowe decorated right from Happy Days with a lot of memorabilia and includes a fireplace.Perfect for breakfast but does not open until 11am on weekdays and only accepts cash. The breakfast was good and reasonably priced.

This a small restaurant with all the caracteristics of a sixties malt shop. Food is really good, I love to have salads because all the vegetables are so fresh and dressings are so good. And for dessert, an ice cream of course.

Heads up this place only takes cash. This is not posted anywhere which in this day and age is inexcusable. The atmoshere is better than the food.

This is a great little place. It throws you back into the 50's. The service was great and very friendly. We both ordered the burger they were good but had to pay extra for onions. Something I've never heard of. These could have been excellent burgers had they toasted the buns. I don't like a cold bun on my burger!
