Excellent Malts

Good family diner, attentive waitstaff. Had a quick snack. Gravy cheese fries where excellent, as was the boneless hot wings.

Great lunch here this weekend. Reuben was one of the best I have ever had. Coffee frappes was excellent and the service beyond superb.

My family of four, including a teen and twenty-something, ate here in January a few years ago. The sandwiches were excellent, but the soup was amazing! If they are still serving it, you MUST try the Tomato Soup. You will thank me. That's all.

Service was friendly and quick. Typical American food was tasty. Was disappointed in the shakes for a traditional malt shop. Would have expected a greater variety of favors and shakes made with real fruit as well as traditional thick creamy shakes. These were fine shakes typical of a sit down American food restaurant not knock my socks off premium shakes... More

We did our team dinner at the Malt Shop and reviews were mixed but I will only be commenting on my families experience. I was there with my two sons and first off, service was friendly and courteous like almost everywhere in Stowe. Decor is cute and very period 50's. Nice malt counter. I ordered the fish & chips which... More

The atmosphere, food, and service were all great. We had dinner here. The French Onion Soup was probably the best I have ever had ( I wanted something small to make sure there was room for dessert). My husband had fish and chips, and my daughter had a grilled cheese. All the food was great. We were all very happy... More

You just have to switch the bag of chips that comes with the panini or burgers, to get the sweet potato fries! They are delicious!

We were staying next door at the Green Mountain Inn and we ate a late lunch here. The prices are very good and they offer you a great choices. Its a burger type of a place and that's what we were looking for. I would recommend this place especially if you are staying next door as the hotel restaurant is... More

old fashioned shop with lots of coke memorabilia and 60's posters up. menu of typical burgers/ fries/ fish fry items. I came in for milkshakes and they were excellent. I came in at a not so busy time so they served me right away

This place. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes I am a huge fan of the Malt Shop. Its an incredibly cozy little restaurant with a real throwback theme to the 60s. My personal favourite is the Banana Split, but other favourites include the chili fries! Its cash only, but they do have a ATM in the restaurant.
