I always love eating there- it's a real local restaurant, owned by real people.

When I am Location Scouting in Stowe (which I do many times a year), or meeting a film or photo crew, and a super breakfast or lunch has to happen- it's my first choice. This IS what a local restaurant experience was- before chains formulated some formula. I always order the pie- whatever it... read more

Quite possibly the best eggs Benedict I've ever had! Great service! I will definitely be back. I watched a st paddys day news item and how popular it seemed to be so o had to see for myself. It was well worth it.

Most festive breakfast ever. Loved the decorations, the specials and the celtic music. Thought this place was great before, but blew away all expectations on St. Patrick's day. Amazing. A don't miss.

Loved how they did up St. Patty's Day with decorations, Irish coffee as you enter the restaurant, fiddle music and to-die-for Irish Cream French Toast. The potatoes were especially tasty and every breakfast item we ordered was very good. I imagine it might be a little less festive on other days of the year but am sure it won't disappoint.

Lively atmosphere, great waitresses! Our food was good. Coffee excellent. All decorated for Saint Patrick's Day! The toast was only toasted on one side. Unfortunately, the silverware is very cheap.

Baring none McCarthy's will meet everyone's expectations for an well prepared breakfast to the staff that serves you. We have had breakfast here during every visit to Stowe with family and we have yet not had a good experience or lack of excellent food. The Irish decor in this venue sets the stage and in itself provides a little interest... More

Nothing better than starting a ski day with a good breakfast. French Toast is awesome, especially when you have the choice of breads (white or oat honey). Good coffee and friendly service.. Cash only but there's a ATM inside.

Seemed like a homey, local diner. We had a wonderful breakfast. Very casual, nothing fancy with good portions and friendly service. Recommend.

Breakfasts at any of the ski resort hotels is very $$$, and mediocre. This place was recommended by the staff that worked at our hotel, and they were right. The food was plentiful, well prepared with a smile, and very good. Excellent if you considered the price ($). The corned beef hash and eggs breakfast was filling but not heavy,... More

We travel to Stowe for a month each winter. McCarthy's is always a favorite. The waitresses always know us now when we arrive. Typically we stop in for lunch or breakfast. Food is great. We eat the typical thing and their menu is diverse. I usually have a philly cheesesteak with their home chips. Kids get burgers and I have... More
