Title pretty much tells it all. Pancakes are served with REAL maple syrup (Hey! It is Vermont after all!). Coffee's great (with refills). Quite a few locals eat breakfast here, a good sign. Eggs Benedict are Great. So's hash and eggs.

Wife and I have breakfast. Server was friendly and efficient. Omlettes were average but nothing special. Coffee was average and hot. It is what I would call a hometown place where many of the customers know each other and the cafe staff. Seemed like a friendly kind of place.

McCarthy's is a tradition in Stowe and has been for YEARS. Just the best breakfasts and the staff is wonderful and most have been there for long time. Lunches also terrific and they sell their own baked goods AND I found out recently they do catering! I tried and dishes were terrific. Very highly recommend. Good location on Mt. Road... More

Good food, good service. Cash only and be prepared to wait for a table, but not too long. It's worth the wait anyway.

We had breakfast there on a Sunday morning. There was a waiting line, but not too long; plus, there is coffee for those who can't wait. Service was quick and friendly, though a little more attention to details instead of focusing on speed could help. We had the eggs benedict off the specials menu and they were cooked to perfection.... More

We ate here on our last morning after checking out of our hotel and wished we had gone there before! The food and service was excellent and the portions were HUGE. Can't wait to go back!

This place is underrated else the others are overrated. Had the best Reubin ever, their handmade chips are the best as are all we looked plus outside seating. Prices are $ compared to the burger places.

After a pleasant 10 mile ride up and back on the Stowe bike path, it was about lunch time. There appear to be many good looking eateries here in Stowe. We stumbled upon McCarthy's and were treated to an excellent meal with fast and friendly service. Their gringo spin on the traditional huevos rancheros was surprisingly enjoyable. Perfectly cooked eggs... More

We went to McCarthy's on a Sunday morning and they were very busy! But they kept things moving along and we were seated within about 10 minutes of arriving. The server was friendly and the food was delicious. Defiitely a place we would visit aain!
