We had our annual breakfast in the Trapp Dining Room on Friday, June 25th and were not disappointed. The breakfast selection was outstanding - everything from pancakes to eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, granola, fruit, yogurt to hash browns and delicious maple syrup. This is a must visit location if you are staying at the Trapp Family Lodge, Guest Houses or... More

The building and grounds are beautiful. The service was very attentive and classy. The food was just not good. We started the evening with drinks on the patio that showed off the spectacular views and let us take in the beautiful summer evening. We should have stopped there and dined somewhere else. In our party of 10, I'd say 4... More

Maybe we caught them on an off night, or they were too busy taking care of the party of 12 at the next table, but we could not believe what we were served. The white asparagus with crab soup looked grey and both looked and tasted very fishy. The schnitzel dinner had to be salted...and a lot of salt at... More

This place has great homemade beer and very nice staff the scenic outlook is worth the price alone food is also outstanding the only reason i am not giving it a higher rating is because its overpriced and theres not enough room inside especially for a place that prides itself of beer making the bar is so small

My wife and I have been to Europe quite a few times. We've even lived in Austria for a summer. Vermont really does feel like Europe. The Trappe family lodge offers an experience much like what one would expect to find in Salzburg but at a more reasonable price. The men's waiter outfits lacked authenticity but the hostess was spot... More

Although the restaurant is appointed with pure white linens, fresh flowers and candles and the host wears a coat and tie, there is no dress requirement. The atmosphere is casual but we felt more comfortable a little bit dressed up. We ordered wienerschnitzel and sauerbraten and they were both excellent except the wienerschnitzel was covered with cranberry sauce and it... More

My husband and I both ordered food that was a little out of our normal relm of food choices but we both feel in love with it. I had a delicious cauliflower risotto (which I have to find a recipe for). He had the weinersnitzle and a crab and asparagus soup. You need to make reservations for this room and... More

Our waitress was really nice. The food was superb and the ambiance was excellent. Perfect setting for a romantic dinner (especially if you get a table by the windows)

OMG! best ever.... they even shell it for you at an amazing price. I ate and ate lobster and almost couldnt finish. They do have one item that was interesting. Pop corn instead of croutons on the salad. Differant, but tasty.
