Have enjoyed dinner here several times over the past few years and we keep coming back because our meals are always good. Situated on the northern end of the Village, the Foxfire is comfortable and the service is excellent. This is our favorite place to eat in Stowe.

I had been to this restaurant when it was open for eat-in. After 30+ years of running a restaurant and all the issues associated with that, the owners decided to scale back and just offer to-go service. Well, I must say, it is excellent! the prices are very fair, the food quality is high and the choices are numerous. I... More

The food was average or above, but we were very disappointed to learn that they would not accept a Restaurant.com coupon that I had purchased a while ago. The certificate said that there was no expiration date, but they refused to honor it. Guess we'll look elsewhere next time !

This was one of the highlights of my trips to Stowe, and I looked forward to going again on my last trip. I was surprised to find it only offered take-out which I declined. Before driving to the restaurant, someone had mentioned something about mild and mildew and I did detect a slight odor as I left so maybe they... More

When I went to use a $75 gift certificate I have, I went online to check out he menu. I was surprised to see that they no longer offer dinner service. They have opted to a to go menu.

This was one of the few restaurants in Stowe we had not yet tried, and as we had heard good things, we were looking forward to experiencing it. There were several things I felt were positive: the ambiance was pleasant - classy without feeling overly fancy (we worried about being underdressed but spotted others in jeans), with a simple, clean... We were staying in Stowe and hadn't bothered to make a reservation for dinner in town. The hotel recommended we try the Foxfire Inn about 2 miles up the road and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality, choice and service. I had one of their signature chicken dishes which was excellent. Service was pleasant, not rushed. This was by... More

I came here with family and didnt mind the food at all but almost couldn't stand how cold it was. My brother and sister in law changed into sweatpants and hoodies and it was July! I'd go back again but prepare for the cold!

This is our second visit, the first since Foxfire did their renovations in April. Gone is the "whiff of mildew." I think the food is a tad better than last time--which is to say, the food that we ordered was terrific! The garlic and olive oil dressing on their bread sticks beckoned us to seconds, and our server anticipated as... More

I had a wonderful meal here while on a business trip. I was alone, but the staff was so warm and friendly that I had a wonderful time. The restaurant itself is very warm and cozy. I had the most delicious chicken stuffed with goat cheese and figs and a nice brown sauce over it. It was pure heaven. I... More
