Romantic gondola ride to the highest restaurant in Vermont

A very romantic evening well worth the cost and reservation. Fine dining with excellent cocktails and revolving menu.

You MUST take the gondola to reach this restaurant, which is located at the top of the gondola at 3,625'. Limited menu as one would expect. Fantastic views of gondola operation, mountain and valley. Inside and outside seating area. Efficient wait staff, but inflexible on substitutions, etc. One really must dine here to fully appreciate the Green Mtn area around... More

The view was magnificent. The beer fondue was good but not great. Salad was okay. Drinking a Shed Mountain Ale on a mountain is pretty cool.

Excellent beverage list and outstanding cheese fondue for two. We had a nice time with fantastic views. We sat outside and they have blankets for you to use. We had a corner view and had a blast. Worth the time and money!

Went for lunch. The menu is not extensive, but has some interesting items, not just run of the mill stuff. My black bean burger with guacamole tasted homemade and was very good. My companion had the crab cake, also good. Service was o.k.

My husband and I celebrated a special occasion at one of the "summer series" dinners last night at The Cliff House. Our six course meal, prepared by Chef Kyle MacPherson who is new to the Cliff House featured a theme of local cheeses. Ricotta gnocchi with chèvre croquettes and House Tagliatelle pasta served with chorizo ragu and Shelburne 1 year... More

We had a great lunch here on Sunday. They had a great Vermont cheese plate, good sandwiches and burgers and we had the best view from the deck. The only way to get here is by taking the $25 per person gondola ride or hiking up. We come more for the experience/view than the food although the food is good... More
