We had a nice dinner and cocktails on the outdoor patio. The food was excellent and our waitress was wonderful! We were actually allowed to just have cocktails on the patio for well over an hour before we ordered dinner. (Most places with outdoor seating only allow you to EAT, and not just have drinks). The food was fabulous. And... More

We visited on a Friday night, aware that there were three weddings happening that weekend. The restaurant was busy but certainly not hectic. Our water glasses were only partially filled because there wasn't sufficient water in the pitcher- in order to get more, I had to request a fill. Not an impressive start. We both had the Atlantic baked haddock... More

Ate here on July 2nd and enjoyed the delicious Chicken Alfredo. Cortney waited on me and was very attentive and sweet. Next time I'm in there area - I'll be back!

Visited this restaurant years ago and looked forward to our return visit. We were not disappointed! Same great service and delectable food served in a lovely atmosphere. The restaurant is actually a turn of the century home complete with warm wood accents throughout. The food is consistently good, not a huge menu, but quality is better than quantity. Their warm... My Ribeye was tough and grizzly, there as no way that was grilled or even pan fried...it alsmot has a "steamed" appearance to it (t was grayish in color, and the shrimp was rubbery. My husbands meatloaf looked like something that came out of a can & was refrigerator cold. The Lobster bisque tasted very similar to cream of mushroom... More

Hadn't been here in years. Over the last thirty years the restaurants that resided here have come and gone, some good, some bad. On a nice early summer eve, we decided to give Lakeview a try, thought we'd take advantage of their outdoor seating. Good decision. Veried menu, well prepared, excellent service, and a fresh herb and vegetable garden out... More

We arrived about supper time at our hotel on a very rainy night and decided to try the hotel restaurant connected to the Holiday Inn Express rather than going out again. To our surprise, it was a very good restaurant, better than most hotel restaurants, using many local foods, including Cabot cheese. We had a Cobb salad and a rib-eye... More

After ordering a drink at the bar and after asking for a menu twice....my order was taken 15 minutes later. 30 minutes after that I was asked if I wanted another drink. My food order had not been placed. This is after I entered the restaurant and watched 3 people walk by me without acknowledging me in any way. I... More

I have dined here on several occasions while in Vermont. You cannot go wrong by choosing one of their daily specials. They do excellent fish with various sauces and accompanying side dishes. The last time I dined their, I had swordfish with a lemony sauce. It was very good, and not dry at all. Swordfish can be a difficult dish... More

Just back.from the Lake View House, party of 3, ordered the beef tenderloin tips ( served with potato balls, and rocket salad), fish tacos and a burger platter. The only complaint was that the bun to meat ratio was off ( too much bun) for the burger - small issue really! Everyone's meals were other wise as ordered, tasty and... More
