Originally the main house of a 19th c farm, Lake View House offers a pleasant country atmosphere for dining. We stopped for lunch and found a good selection of local beers and a reasonable prices menu. We had specials, one of which was very good and the other a disappointment. Service was adequate, but the chef could use some lessons... More

The menu was not extensive, but the food provided was satisfactorily prepared. There was a decent selection of wine by the bottle or glass and a good selection of local craft beers. We were happy enough with the meal and the good service provided by our waitress, but it was the good side of average rather than very good.

We ended the day with a quiet supper. Food was very good and the price was average. They had been busy and seemed a bit rushed after a long day, but worth the wait!

We ate at this restaurant while taking a trip to see fall foliage. We enjoyed a relaxing meal and we were not rushed by the waiters and they checked on us periodically to see if we needed anything. The Rib-eye steak and the Shrimp scampi were delicious and cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant/

Wasn't bad as my ruben was very good but my wifes special was just ok. Seems like it could be a great little restaurant but I would rate it average at best.

Husband wanted to eat a decent meal so we walked from our hotel with anticipation... Two waitresses, no host, understaffed. Husband had Ribeye Steak $24, thin and a bit tough. I had Cabot Chicken which was decent. Cabot mashed potatoes were not that tasty and cooler than luke warm on my plate, had to send them back. You get about... More

We walked to this restaurant from our hotel (the comfort suites) which was very convenient. We expected similar food that you would get in a hotel BUT we were pleasantly surprised. The service was a little slow but friendly and they knew the wonderful history off the Inn. My husband and I both had the lobster rolls..good decision.. they were... More

Average food, little higher than average price. To be fair we visited in the off season and there weren't many patrons.

After a long day of work and travel I was just too tired to stray far from my hotel for dinner and a couple of drinks. Fortunately I was able to walk to this restaurant. I didn't have any expectation, I chose it because it was close. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely nice! The food... More

We ate there because it was so close to our hotel and had been recommended. The restaurant was very short staffed. Unfortunately we had to get our own menus, discovered after we ordered that the daily specials sheet was not included. Asked for a refill on water and got it with my bill. The manager? was quick to wait on... More
