Efficient service. Good food.

While staying at the Best Western in South Burlington, we had dinner at the Windjammer which is located right in front of the hotel. We chose to eat upstairs in the pub. It was fairly busy and lively. We were waited on right away by a very efficient wait person. We started with the bacon wrapped... read more

This is a great little non-Chain Restaurant. If you are looking for an Olive Garden, or Red Lobster, You will think you died and went to heaven. Great food, big menu and friendly service. This is the place you take your UVM student for lunch, or Your UVM Grad for Dinner!

The Windjammer set back from the road location is by no means an indication of its place in local food lore. With the best salad bar in town coupled with a smorgasbord of choices for meat and sea food lovers alike, this is a must visit location for a good meal with excellent, professional service with ambiance. This is also... More

We had a nice family dinner at the Windjammer Restaurant while staying at the Best Western. Our waiter was very friendly and our meal was quite good. French Onion Soup, Salad Bar and Scallops were all delicious. There was a nice pub upstairs, too.

Was looking forward to having an Easter brunch at the Windjammer this year. After traveling over 2 hours to come to Burlington and meeting with family, my first disappointment came with a wait when we arrived for the 2:00pm sitting. While the reception desk was friendly and courteous and the servers were cheerful, we were informed that the main dish... More

Please accept our apologies for you less than desirable Easter dinner at the Windjammer. I have actually spoken to your mother at length regarding your experience. We are continually making improvements based on the feedback that we receive from our guests and I can assure you that we take it very seriously. There is already a gift card in the... More

Windjammer claims the clam chowder is "homemade" or made there , partially true.....Employee told me it starts from a can........Manager Dan, responded saying made there... upon further questioning staff ,Mystery solved....Just like when you open a can of condensed soup at home( like cream of mushroom) thats the base, then they add cream, and /or milk, clams etc.........so the answer in MY... Hi Lisa, I think there is still a little bit of misunderstanding or misinformation may have been given to you. The base that your are referring to is not from a can, We make that base in house (several ingredients, one of which is clam juice and that is the only thing that comes from a can in our chowder).... the food was good, the service was good, the salad bar was well stocked with fresh veggies - the problem in my opinion is that everything was over priced by a good amount - not worth the price in my opinion

I think Windjammer is a great restaurant, but honestly, my biggest draw, for me, is there salad bar. It is incredible. And I have learned over the years, I can do the salad bar or I can order an entree, never both. Their food is really, really good, but tends to be a bit too pricey I think for what... More

We recently took my son and daughter-in-law to the Windjammer for a birthday dinner. Although it was crowded, they seated us within ten minutes of our reservation time (something that doesn't happen at many other restaurants). The waitress was excellent and the salad bar was awesome! Could have been a mean in itself or with soup. My husband had prime... More

I liked Upper Deck Pub on 2nd floor of the restaurant. Good pub foods and always busy. A great hangout place if you are traveling alone and want to try few local microbrewed beers, full bar.
