We arrived to an almost empty restaurant on a Sunday evening. We were greeted, sat and watered promptly, but no one came to offer drinks until beckoned. There were four women staffers talking at the bar, and they were not very friendly. We ordered our food and drink which was served promptly. My husband had salmon, it was perfectly under... More

Great food, quiet, and great service. The food was not your standard pub fare, so that made it that much better. Would definitely eat here again.

We went here for the burger and beer special on a Wednesday eve. Only $10 for a great burger with fries and a pint of mostly local brews. Outdoor seating available. Reservations accepted

We were a party of 6 who hadn't seen each other in a long time and looked forward to meeting at the restaurant and talking for a while. The food wasn't exceptional, but it was good and we enjoyed out meal. As soon as we were done eating the hostess started hovering around our table. Soon she asked us to... More

Good food, OK service, nice menu, outdoor seating for summer, somewhat expensive but not excessive. Good place for upscale eating and entertainment.

I eaten at Barkeaters twice now and both times were wonderful. On our first visit we were a group of six and everyone love, loved their meal (seafood risotto, filet mignon, cedar planked salmon and the ravioli du jour). On our last visit we ordered the soup (asparagus, potato & salmon), which was amazing and the lobster and crab crusted... More

Went for brunch w a close friend on a Sunday . Food was terrible . Home fries were cold and gray looking . My wife's omelet was very small and overcooked . The food wasn't even hot . The worst part about it was we were the only people in the restaurant !

After a shopping spree in Burlington we decided to visit Barkeaters as one of the vendors had said they were from Shelburne and it was their favorite place to eat. We arrived before closing on a busy Saturday night. After waiting inside the door to be recognized for ten minutes we were told the kitchen was closed. I'll never know... More

We are sorry but when you arrived for dinner our kitchen was closed for the evening. We offered suggestions to other dining establishments that may have still been serving and we are glad that you were able to find another local restaurant to satisfy you. More

went in on a rather warm day last August and found it comfortable and welcoming. Had a half-sandwich and soup, nice local beer. Companions also loved the food. Nice, relaxed atmosphere.
