This is a must if you are traveling through the area and have a sweet tooth. Not only for chocolate. The ice cream is wonderful!

Worth the drive on Route7a, just a few miles north of Bennington or a few miles south of Manchester. I'm not sure you will see a selection of chocolates more extensive or beautifully presented. Perfect for gifts to take back ... if you don't eat them in the car. The ice cream is wonderful. Home made with local ingredients ...... More

Well worth a stop. They have all kinds of candy, nuts, and maple syrup items as well as fresh chocolates and ice cream. We all bought several items and of course sampled them immediately in the front porch of the store which is outfitted with several seating areas. The sea salted caramels were delicious and the homemade maple sugar candy... More

A shop with this name obviously made me stop. The shop is nicely decorated with bagged and boxed chocolates throughout. Staff was very friendly. When I asked if they made all the chocolates the women said they did and that it keeps them very busy. Prices were high at $20 a pound but for handmade chocolates that would be okay.... More

From the outside you expect a tacky gift shop with foil wrapped old candy and moose T-shirts. But when you walk inside you find yourself in a beautifully decorated chocolate shop with a large variety of fresh chocolate. Try the sea salted dark chocolate cashews and my favorite the peanut butter cups! And for those hot summer days, a small... More

The owners have a broad range of products... Delicious chocolates, antiques, and, their emerging specialty, ice cream! Ice cream will never be the same again after you have tried the Chocolate Barn. I love the coffee fudge swirl (made with French press coffee!!!), strawberry or blueberry (made with organic from Clear brook farm across the road!!!), or mint chocolate chip.

Everything is good at this place. The woodwork items, the chocolates, the friendly spirit... However, for me it is the ICE CREAM... really extraordinary. Don't miss this if you are on Rt 7 or 7A... or in Bennington or Manchester, Vermont.

I saw other recommendations to stop by here and try the ice cream, so that is what we did, as I am a huge fan of ice cream. I got a cone of the mint chocolate chip and my husband got Caramel Coffee Swirl or something similar to that. They were both very good, and they were nice enough to... More

I have never tasted anything as wonderful as the chocolate ice cream from The Chocolate Barn in my whole entire life. The truffles are quite good as well.
