Diner Disaster

I had the open faced turkey sandwich. The veggies came overcooked, fries were limp and unsalted. The turkey sandwich was tasteless. Worst part of everything was the waitress no smile, personality. She even gave the check before we had our first bite!!! Felt rushed to eat overpriced slop

This is a definite stopping place whenever we travel to Canada-we have never been disappointed with our meals. We have had sandwiches, burgers-the special-beef stew-soups- apple sausage-and the home made french fries and potato chips. The service is always excellent-quick and efficient -the prices are so affordable. Do not miss out on dessert -share if you must since the portions... More

Food is fantastic! Great diner food but it's a really small place, I feel like it's always chaotic when I'm there. I guess it proves its a good restaurant - everyone wants to eat there

Enjoyed our lunch here. Food was very good and exactly what you would expect from a top notch diner. Meatloaf lunch was very tasty and delicious. Mushroom burger and fries were very good as well. Service was definitely efficient although not really very friendly. Although the waitress seemed like she would rather be anywhere else than at the diner, she... More

We have eaten there many times over the years when visiting family. Usually we have breakfast there. The food, service, location and price are all great!

We arrived at the diner about a half hour before closing. We were greated by a rather "sassy" waitress who said she had just mopped the floor, so we needed to sit in a booth near the door. We actually liked her a lot and joked with her. She recommended sandwiches that we really good. We decided to top off... More

My wife and I were in town for a concert of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and ate dinner at Anthony's because 1. I am a diner junkie and 2. it got such good reviews on TA. As we looked around up sitting down, I remarked it looked like it had been freshly painted yesterday. It sparkled. A very cheery... More

I like the food at Anthony's, but there are less expensive places for breakfast and lunch in the St Johnsbury area.

We stopped in St Johnsbury for the night on our way home to Rhode Island and ate dinner at this diner. Dawn was an excellent and friendly waitress. I enjoyed a delicious meatloaf meal and my friend enjoyed her baked haddock meal. Unfortunately, we were too full to try any of their desserts!!! Maybe next time on our next trip.
