The restaurant closed with the family that ran it moving, another establishment has since relocated into that location.

I dined at Mi Casita in July 2013, when I stayed one night in St. Albans. Food and service were fine. While one might get better Mexican food in a large metropolitan area like New York, Mi Casita offered pretty good fare considering that it's in northern Vermont!

My husband and I have been there several times now. The food is really nice, the place is kept very clean and the staff is awesome! We especially love the beef flautas topped with tomatillo sauce. But just about everything we have ever had there has been super good and very fresh. Maybe not "authentic" Mexican all the time, but... More

I had convinced my husband to try this restaurant (May 2013) after noticing the "authentic" Mexican cuisine sign posted outside. The ambiance was lacking and somewhat "cold". The service good. We enjoyed the complimentary homemade tortilla chips and salsa to start. I ordered the shrimp tacos and my husband the steak burrito. I liked my dish, but the re-fried beans... More

I guess maybe my expectations are too high for Vermont Mexican food because people give this place acceptable reviews. We started with the faux Ceviche dish which also contained apples and other assorted fruit. It tasted like a bitter Waldorf Salad. I think they used vinegar instead of lime juice! I ordered the enchiladas hoping that something so simple would... More

Has potential but each visit still has some of the same. Food is cold, even on a hot plate the temp is marginal at best. I keep trying, hoping a little experience will improve.

The Mi Casita is located in downtown St. Albans, Vermont across from Taylor Park. I stopped here for lunch one day simply because I had never eaten here and was curious. Was I glad I did! I had the most wonderful tortilla chips with (I assume) home-made salsa, a black bean/pumpkin soup (utterly yummy), and a plate of three Mexican... More

We dine out a lot and decided to try Mi Casita. The decor is decent and we liked the bistro tables by the window. My wife had a margarita and I a beer. Her drink was a little garish looking, especially the neon blue salt. The free chips and salsa were fine. My wife ordered the enchilada de la casa... More

Mi Casita is a small, family run restaurant in downtown St. Albans, VT. The staff are friendly and the drinks are good. The food is better than most Mexican restaurants in Vermont, but doesn't rival the Mexican food you get in southern California or the Southwest.
