I have never had a bad experience here. Whether it's going out afterwork, taking customers here, or just dinner with my wife. Everything that I have tried has been great. Deserts were great as well. I try to make it up here when I can. I have had great luck with their steaks.

We were traveling on our way to a family wedding at Jays Peak and stopped overnight in St Albans. We are from the Atlanta so were not surprised bu the cost. Maybe high for the area but not for us. They were less than our average night out. They had a nice selection of local Vermont beers. The night we... More

Food is lacking for the price. One of the "higher-end" restaurants in this town from the feel of it, but it doesn't live up to expectations. Service is average at best, food wasn't spectacular, and the atmosphere was just eh. Wouldn't return.

When you walk into this very old building, you are impressed by how well it has been adapted for use as a restaurant. it retains its old New England charm, but has added a skylight over the bar to brighten the whole area, and it has added an outdoor cafe area to the other three inside rooms. The lunch menu... More

Dined at One Federal with friends. Drinks were ok, martini's at $8.20 were a little high. We had the soup with dinner; it was tasty but luke warm. Our friends had the burgers. They looked great when they arrived but were very dry for medium rare. My wife had the baked stuff shrimp, the stuffing was gloppy and cold. The... More

Good food, friendly prompt service and outdoor dining on the enclosed terrace weather permitting. Live music weekly in summer. The food is very good with a menu that has varied options and something for every taste. Good value for money and an enjoyable place for dinner with family or friends.

Stopped in on an impulse and left a believer! I've had a LOT of burgers in my life but everything about this one was perfect. Perfectly prepared, quality meat, quality bacon, quality Blue Cheese and a quality bun. Everything was fresh, nicely presented by an attentive server. I have to say, this place is a keeper. nice job!

My husband and I ate at this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The menu has a good variety and the prices are reasonable. The special selection was also more diverse than we expected. If you are looking for a meal with a home cooked feel this is the place to go.

Six friends ate at this historic restaurant in St Albans. The building dates back to 1840 and the meal matched the delightful ambience. We had crispy shrimps , turkey pot pie ,and salmon. All very well cooked and presented. Service was extremely friendly and the dishes arrived in quick time. We ate in the courtyard until the mosquitoes go too... More

The best part of my meal was the appetizers. Fried pickles were excellent as we're the potato skins. I ordered the special, Surf and Turf. I asked for the beef to be medium rare but it came almost well done. It was dry and tough. The salad dressing was a maple syrup vinaigrette, but the maple flavor was nonexistent. The... More
