Who knew? Rutland, VT, and I mean no disservice to a community with many fine attributes, is not really where one would expect really good Chinese food, but Ginger China definitely delivers. I ate there twice on a recent visit to the area and was very pleased with the results, as were my dining companions, both locals. The food was... More

The first time we went to the Ginger China restaurant with my family, I couldn't believe how great everything any of us had. The staff were very attentive and informative and even made suggestions for something different each time we went there. I did not expect food as good as this in Rutland, Vt and have been back many times... More

Hungry for a Chinese meal, we tried out the Ginger China restaurant. My sweet and sour chicken was fine as was my wife's chicken and broccoli. Service was fine. Everything about the restaurant was just fine. But there was nothing special worth mentioning. We made the mistake of paying for parking in a local parking lot. We didn't realize that... More

I ordered chicken and shrimp combination and it was awful . I could not identify the chicken . Rangoons were ok. White rice was good. I will not go back. The only thing that tasted good was rice;)

I was invited to a friend's family birthday dinner. We were 7 adults and 4 children. The menu is extensive, and all of the prices seemed very reasonable: the one dinner ordered from the 'chef's selection-type' part of the menu was very artfully presented. The sushi rolls looked good! I had hot&sour soup (actually pretty hot) and chicken with black... More

"Ginger China" is our go to restaurant for Asian Cuisine here in Rutland. We order both take out and in house dinners. The menu offers many options with a clear description of each item. We have tried many items and enjoy trying new items. The environment is both family and child friendly.

If you love Asian cuisine, don’t skip Ginger China. It has an extensive menu of Chinese, Japanese, Thai food and Sushi. There are dinners and a large selection of delicious A La Carte Specialties. The Family and Staff are friendly and accommodating. It has a large well stocked bar and good wine list. The food was delicious and freshly made.... More

My dinner, Bean curd in Black Bean Sauce, was decent. It was salty for my taste, but well prepared. My husband had 'Shrimp in Lobster sauce' was total disappointment. It was modified version of real dish that we used to eat at other establishment. There is no ground pork, neither black bean. Service was very good, though.

I was a little concerned about the recent negative reviews, but based on the overall positives we decided to try it and we're glad we did. We are only passing through Rutland and won't be able to go back and see how consistant they are. We had MaLa Lamb and the Chicken and Shrimp Combo. We've eaten at many, many... More

Very unfriendly service. Food just mediocre, at best. Just don't like anything about this restaurant.
