We live locally and really enjoy the Quechee Diner - the diner out front is a fun experience with good service and food. There is another room out back if you have a larger group. The diner has changed hands but they still serve local foods when possible and the pricing is more in line now.

Having read “Eaarth” by Bill McKibbon, I had specially planned my Vermont route through Quechee to take in “The Farmers Diner” and enjoy a plate of “poached eggs with Vermont cheese sauce” per p.36 of the book !! Oh dear, such disappointment to find that this diner has changed hands, no longer promotes “green” but, like most other American diners,... More

I have been to the Diner many times. Each time my food is good, hot, plentiful and cooked the way I want it. The prices are reasonable and the waitstaff, though busy, does a good job. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone for any meal.

This is an amazing place for brunch. It's in a great spot in Quechee, a cute town and area. It's best to ask for a booth in the railcar. They're a little cramped, but well worth it -- all part of the experience. Everything was delicious -- pancakes, eggs. Have only had brunch there, but it was delicious.

The Farmers Diner is now Quechee Diner and is a much better value and the food is excellent. The breakfast omlet is great and they have wonderful home made toast so we sure to tell the waitress you want the home made. The previous owners had made a big thing of using all "local" foods which was a great idea... More

The Diner closes at 3.30pm and we arrived at 3.15pm and they kindly seated us and the staff did not rush us. The food was fantastic, especially the sweet potato fries and the staff were brilliant. Our hostess was absolutely lovely and so helpful and friendly. It was a nice, unique place to stop off on our road trip. Be... More

The "Farmers Diner" part of the name has been dropped, it is now called the "Quechee Diner" and it is well worth the stop. The restaurant is easy to see as you approach the fabulous Quechee River Gorge. We were seated in the railcar section and we had a great waitress who was all smiles and very helpful. My friend... Food is OK "comfort food." If restaurant is busy, they will select from waiting line based on size of party. For example, if you are 15 bikers who know the owner, you're #1. If you are a party of three with children, take a hike!!!

Stopped to try breakfast, after giving up on them in their prior name/ownership. Turns out these are the same folks, re-opened under an new name. "A rose by any other name" still has absurd prices and perhaps the worst service in the whole area. Dana's near by, and the Four Aces in West Lebanon (by far our favorite!) offer much... More
