This has become a favorite local restaurant of mine. 2014 has brought a new and very talented chef to the kitchen who sources as much as he can locally, including pastured meats. I've gone several times this year and each time the food has been really wonderful. We like the "farm to table" approach when we eat out and this... More

Easy access; light fresh food, service was good but slow. Salad greens were fresh and crunchy, the vegetable panini was like fresh and well cooked with a nice pesto drezsing

I don't know what the negative reviews are talking about! The new chef is doing an outstanding job, and the restaurant is greatly improved since last year. My husband and I ate there last night; he had a hanger steak and I had roast chicken. Both were outstanding. In addition, service was great and atmosphere is relaxed and cozy. It... More

Time to put this place back on the list. Creative farm to table menu. Our fresh fish selections were cooked to perfection and the strawberry shortcake biscuits were the best I have ever had. Great service and reasonable prices will have us going back. Didn't try the brick oven pizzas but will!

We ate here twice over the last two weeks because of the convenience. The food is very average. They have a hot stone pizza oven but unfortunately cannot make a decent pizza. It's a shame because the restaurant is rather quaint and the only casual place to dine in the area. We tried the burgers and they were very bland.... More

My family goes to ski at Killington every winter, and we always make the half hour trip to Quechee to come to River Stones! We actually fell in love with it when it was called Fire Stones, but we don't care about the name change ;) The main reason we love this place: the PLUM GINGER WINGS. The sauce is... More

We had a great meal here. Good food at a good price. The waitress could have been a little more attentive, but overall a very good experience and we look forward to going back.

We went there on advice from a couple who said it had changed. (Never believe em again). Well if it changed it got worse. My wife had a Marguerite Pizza that looked as though they open up a can of paste and smeared it. I had Pappardelle with Meat Balls (rocks). They looked like burnt nuggets. How do you mess... More

Have eaten at this establishment for many years and always loved it.... But now it is under new management (by Bostonians according to the waitress.) The menu has become very "gourmetish".... and the prices have soared...... My husbands hamburger looked delicious, but tasted like sawdust (one of our friends had the same comment about HIS hamburg). My Fish 'n Chips... More

Food and service are OK. On our last visit restaurant ran out of hamburgers so not too impressive. We would not take friends here - only going if we needed a quick bite.
