Food and service are OK. On our last visit restaurant ran out of hamburgers so not too impressive. We would not take friends here - only going if we needed a quick bite.

We have eaten here numerous times and have always had a great meal. Delicious soups and salads and heartier fare that is just right apres-ski. They have had a truly talented guitarist/singer on occasion, a true professional and worth hearing, too. Just a great place to dine in a beautiful area.

The only part of this place that isn't terrible is the stunning bartender Heather. Otherwise, the food is awful, the wine selection is not at all creative and the service questionable. Very disappointing because it is in a great location, close to Woodstock en route to Killington ski area, in quaint Quechee. The restaurant seems unclean. The owners should retain... More

My family frequented Fire Stones, the predecessor restaurant, on a regular basis. The restaurant has changed owners and name. The good news is that their wait staff is friendly and service was very good. After my kids had almost finished their burgers, I saw that their burgers (ordered medium) were very red inside (rare). They were almost done (they were... More

We came from Killington half day of ski looking for a great cozy restaurant on out way back. Not from the area we saw this restaurant and we don't regret it. Awesome soup, good chicken wings, good bacon cheese burger! Very nice service plus live music! ;) recommended

Great plum wings pizza and beer but even better was country singer and Nashville icon clay canfield playing guitar, harmonica, and singing. Listen to him tell stories about Willie, Waylon , Vern and hank jr and buses but that's another story

Our accommodations in Quechee reserved us a table at Simon Pearce restaurant, but when we saw the prices, we cancelled and found River Stones. It was just what we needed. Pizza, drinks, dessert, nice atmosphere, comfy and casual. The waitress was friendly. What more could you ask for?

We stopped here last week expecting the same quality as Bentley's in Woodstock, VT. The ambiance was very nice but the service and food selection was average or less. We settled on a pizza and wine which was fine but we were not willing to eat dinner at River Stones.

I was so hoping to be impressed with this newly re-opened restaurant since our 2nd home in Quechee is so close by. However, my wishes failed to come true. My Mom and I each ordered the French Onion Soup ... We asked ourselves 'where's the nice hot bubbly melted cheese that makes it so yummy?' In addition, there was really... More
