What an awful experience! First, we were told that the wait would be 5 to 10 minutes. It was actually closer to 40 minutes before we were seated. That's excusable. Estimating how long a customer will take to finish their meal is not easy. However, when the waiter (owner?) finally did show us to our table, he was extremely rude:... More

My "maple glazed bacon" actually had a sticky maple glaze poured over it. The apple crisp was so good, to die for. But a little apple goes a long way, except for these folks. Get some eggs or you will apple overload! But you might die happy.

We have been going to this restaurant for a few years and they consistently produce one of the best breakfasts that we have had out. They have a wide variety of creative delicious selections. Portions are large--you will not leave hungry. Baked goods are terrific. This is a family home run business that has all the Vermont charm. Make sure... More

A very charming hidden breakfast nook. Quaint setting. Lots of choices but extremely expensive for breakfast. Buyer beware Flavored coffee $5.95. I got the quiche and cornbread. Quiche was basic but the cornbread was excellent. Service was EXTREMELY slow. Breakfast for 2 was $42. Not sure I would return.

Bottom line up front: Simply outstanding food; great atmosphere; marginal service; expensive! I'm pretty sure that just about sums it up fairly accurately. The establishment is small, and also probably understaffed, so expect a wait (especially during the "brunch" window on weekends). Not much of a sense of urgency from the staff; again, plan to spend some time here -... More

A really cute and charming place. The portions were huge! Very friendly hosts. A bit expensive but still glad that we stopped in.

Service severely struggled. Food was okay. Price didn't match quality or level of service. However, large portions and fresh ingredients... We were excited to try this country Vermont setting for breakfast after reading the reviews and seeing the pictures of the food in other posts. Luckily we were not in a rush, We entered and gave our name to the... More

My husband and I on a couples getaway in ludlow stopped in on a Monday morning for breakfast. It was just ok almost bad but I try not to give negative reviews. I usually just won't write one. But our visit was so blah and lacking for a 50.00 breakfast for two people we want to caution tourists to the... More

8/29/2014 We walked in, we're told "five min" wait and it ended up being over 20 min. It didn't bother us but would've been nice for the waiter to notify us that they're "backed up" etc. Anyhow, after getting seated I was promptly served a nice cup of coffee. I ordered eggs in a hole and don't like them runny... More

After spending a few days in neighboring Ludlow and after sampling some local gems for breakfast such as Cafe at Delight we decided to try this restaurant for our last local breakfast in Vermont. We found Vermont Apple Pies on a computer print out ad dropped off at our hotel. We thought it looked adorable and inviting. We pulled up... More
