This is about the only store in town. Cute for gifts and very good food. We bought salads to go and it was good.

Stopped in for a snack on a rainy day while touring the countryside. Cool store with lots of character. They seem to have no system for ordering food. Sign says to order here with no one there to help. ??? I wouldn't say it's a must visit, but I would stop by if driving through.

Stopped off here for sandwich, soup and chips lunch pre-made for our bus load of leaf peepers in New England. This store sells one-of-a-kind nostalgic (and some not so nostalgic) products that you would find in a century plus old store. Next door is the owners personal collection of rock n roll memoriable items from early '50's on. Many one... More

I was with a group of 12. We all came to the area to watch or participate in the Spartan Challenge in Killington. After a long day with a mixed group, we decided upon the General Store for a light dinner. Prices were reasonable. Selection great for those who like a healthy choice or those who like burgers or pizza.... More

We've been coming here for 10 years or so as a snowmobile family. My husband and I stopped in the other day for lunch. What a disappointment! We were not greeted when we walked in and we had to wait to place our order until the three workers finished their conversation. While we were eating our sandwiches, a local came... More

We needed a barbecue for the weekend which was delivered and picked up at our inn. The were easy to coordinate with via phone. The barbecue was a bit rusty and rickety but it worked just fine!

I had breakfast and lunch there this week & I would be remiss if I did not give a shout out to the cook. The kale and egg scramble was killer. Eggs were cracked, great tasting & a healthy choice. For lunch, I had smoked turkey, brie and farm stand plums on a baquette. What a sandwich and I'm from... More

This place is really awesome! After a long bike ride, we went in for some lunch and we weren't disappointed. They had ample options for vegetarians - salads, veggie wraps, veggie sandwiches. Delicious coffee, too. Also a good place to pick up souvenirs and memorabilia or presents for the family and friends back home. Really loved this place - the... More

Thanks to the new ownership who used to be a head chef in a celebrated NYC restaurant, the menu has received a serious upgrade and is the star of the show. I look forward to their plans to open a restaurant in the back of the store and see the head chef's creativity fully unleashed.
