A Local Favorite

As a local, I often find myself here for a quick lunch. Good quality diner food with fast and friendly service. I especially like the use of fresh, local produce and locally baked bread. There are always several options for vegetarians and plenty to keep my meat eating friends happy too. One... read more

I thought that the staff was rather cold and disinterested. Seemed like they would have preferred to be somewhere else.

Old fashioned, charming, and comfortable. Good, solid diner food. We had a bacon cheeseburger - locally sourced grassfed beef and a grilled cheese and chocolate milk. All very good. French fries were a bit anemic but we managed to eat every one. Very attentive service.

Omelets are delicious, deep fried hash browns sinful. Great service even on a very busy Mothers Day. Highly recommended.

One of those little unsung joints without the fancy name or decor. What they do is serve a great breakfast (so many options) cooked to perfection at a price that'll make you smile. Don't forget to order the fresh squeezed OJ.

I'm always surprise by how expensive the food is at this rather charmless in-town diner. The food is just okay, although diner food can be terrific and often is, but not here. The restaurant is cramped and not particularly inviting. The "hostess" was a young lady who seemed to float through a world of her own, mostly oblivious to the... More

This a cute downtown coffee shop where everyone knows everyone..it's a place where you seem to see the same folks there everyday. Downtown Montpelier is a favorite of mine and I like to go to Coffee Corner. Great food cheap!!!

Both the owners were there to make sure you get great service. The prices of the menu items were very good. Howard Dean has eaten there so it has to be good.

I recently went to the coffee corner diner with my sister, brother-in-law and little nephew. We had such a fun experience! There were no booths available so we sat at the counter. It was fun for my 3 year old nephew to be close to the action. I ordered over easy eggs on something called the florentine (I think) It... More

On a very cold winter day, my partner and I stopped through the charming little capital city of Vermont, Montpelier, and found the Coffee Corner diner on the corner of the main intersection in town. We both had a very good grilled cheese accompanied by fries (his) and onion rings (mine). Nothing fancy here, just classic Americana with local quirks.... More
