Both the owners were there to make sure you get great service. The prices of the menu items were very good. Howard Dean has eaten there so it has to be good.

I recently went to the coffee corner diner with my sister, brother-in-law and little nephew. We had such a fun experience! There were no booths available so we sat at the counter. It was fun for my 3 year old nephew to be close to the action. I ordered over easy eggs on something called the florentine (I think) It... More

On a very cold winter day, my partner and I stopped through the charming little capital city of Vermont, Montpelier, and found the Coffee Corner diner on the corner of the main intersection in town. We both had a very good grilled cheese accompanied by fries (his) and onion rings (mine). Nothing fancy here, just classic Americana with local quirks.... More

I've eaten here several times and the food and service are always consistent. There's a big picture window in the front which gives you a great view down State Street in this capitol city of Montpelier. Conveniently located right on the corner with street parking or parking in the rear. It's a small place, but there's a counter for quick... More

Cheery is the word that comes to mind here. Promptly greeted inside this eclectic looking diner. Look on the wall for the daily chef special. Terrific breakfast. Heavy portions will not disappoint. Tip of the hat.

On the way from Canada to Boson, I stopped for the night in Montpelier. Before leaving, I wandered around town hoping to find the perfect breakfast--and I did. Although a bit crowded, the restaurant is a charming, unpretentious busy, local diner with lots of friendly people and staff. I talked to some of the locals at the counter. I felt... More

We had our first "date" here on Thursday, January 18, 1980...breakfast.....had no idea that just a year later or so we would be living within walking distance. Been having breakfasts, brunches, and lunches here ever since....sometimes, just the two of us, sometimes with family or friends. They serve local ingredients as much as possible...great breakfasts, fantastic eggs Benedict, scrumptious scrambled... More

The food that was served to us at breakfast was delicious. Great service. Restaurant could be a bit larger.

Last week, we ate lunch at this neat little place two days in a row. It was that good! They have both great breakfasts and lunches. Loved the classic diner atmosphere with friendly service. They have several vegetarian sandwiches in addition to the regular items. Typically have a choice of 5 or 6 fresh breads from a nearby bakery.
