On the way from Canada to Boson, I stopped for the night in Montpelier. Before leaving, I wandered around town hoping to find the perfect breakfast--and I did. Although a bit crowded, the restaurant is a charming, unpretentious busy, local diner with lots of friendly people and staff. I talked to some of the locals at the counter. I felt... More

We had our first "date" here on Thursday, January 18, 1980...breakfast.....had no idea that just a year later or so we would be living within walking distance. Been having breakfasts, brunches, and lunches here ever since....sometimes, just the two of us, sometimes with family or friends. They serve local ingredients as much as possible...great breakfasts, fantastic eggs Benedict, scrumptious scrambled... More

The food that was served to us at breakfast was delicious. Great service. Restaurant could be a bit larger.

Last week, we ate lunch at this neat little place two days in a row. It was that good! They have both great breakfasts and lunches. Loved the classic diner atmosphere with friendly service. They have several vegetarian sandwiches in addition to the regular items. Typically have a choice of 5 or 6 fresh breads from a nearby bakery.

This is place is a classic due to the homey atmosphere, comfy booths and extensive breakfast menu featuring omelets and pancakes. All were delicious as were the homefries. Friendly service as well.

Arrived around 8:30 on a Sunday morning and all the booths were taken but the waitress asked if we'd like to sit on one of the counter stools. Beware the stools revolved and down I went -- a little embarrassed but not injured! We all got a good laugh! Had a standard breakfast of eggs, hash browns and toast with... More

This place is my absolute favorite, they have lots of variety with their foods and they let you change your options around. Great service. When I visit montpelier every year this is where I eat breakfast every morning, the place is a nice little cozy restaurant, I'd recommend this place 100%.

Decent diner food with really friendly waitstaff and generally good service. The place is a little small but that adds to the experience if you have a sense of humor and you don't mind smiling at your neighbor. Touches such as the "art duct" - a gallery of customer art hanging on an air duct - and a selection of... More

The locals seem to congregate at The Wayside but for us no one beats the Coffee Corner. Good coffee, great eggs cooked to order, and you have to get the Sunflower toast. Love the staff...I wish I could eat there every day.
