Great home cooking

I always feel like I am at home, very great staff. The food feels like it is homemade. I love there breakfasts and they serve it all day. There dessert is great and I never walk away disappointed. I am a frequent customer and will always open to visiting it again.

They are well known in the area for their breakfasts. They are always s busy and there is a reason for that. The food quality is very good, and they are a central Vermont legend.

If you're looking for a home style meal at a good price this is your place. We had the turkey dinner which came with soup, two sides and a dinner roll and the chicken and gravy which came with a side and dinner roll. Both were very tasty. Only thing I wish they had were a side of vegetables. Good... More

Only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because two people in my party got biscuits and gravy that was cold. But once that was warmed up, all food was delicious! Service was good, they accommodated our large party well, and the restaurant was clean. Great place for brunch.

Locals love this joint. Be prepared for traditional food, prepared like grandma used to make. Breakfast is good and affordable. Dinner is satisfying but might not satisfy gourmet palates.

This place was recommended to us by the motel. Only about a mile from the Twin City Motel. Very good home made food and desserts. Very local place and can get very crowded. We stayed two nights and ate there 4 times - 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners. Yes it was good and the price was right!!

Same good food and excellent service as it was 50 years ago when I was here. The fried clams are great and at $13 the best price I know of in Vermont. Where can you find fried tripe and liver and onions? You can at the Wayside and they are very good. Oh and the prices won't break the bank.

We went here for breakfast with two other families and it was awesome. Clearly a local favorite there was a wait to get in but it was a Sunday morning. The food was clearly cooked to order and really good. Service was great and the place was packed. We had a great time and the people were wonderful!

Home cooking in an upscale diner setting. Great food with generous servings. The waitstaff really know what they are serving and are happy to share their take on the offerings. You can get breakfast until late afternoon. The daily specials are great values and young and old find the menu varied enough to meet everyone's wishes. The peanut butter chocolate... More
