Good lunch stop

We stopped for a late lunch and enjoyed the meal. The club sandwich was very good. My tuna salad was also good. Their clam chowder was uninspired. Service was good.

This place was recommended to us by the motel. Only about a mile from the Twin City Motel. Very good home made food and desserts. Very local place and can get very crowded. We stayed two nights and ate there 4 times - 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners. Yes it was good and the price was right!!

Same good food and excellent service as it was 50 years ago when I was here. The fried clams are great and at $13 the best price I know of in Vermont. Where can you find fried tripe and liver and onions? You can at the Wayside and they are very good. Oh and the prices won't break the bank.

We went here for breakfast with two other families and it was awesome. Clearly a local favorite there was a wait to get in but it was a Sunday morning. The food was clearly cooked to order and really good. Service was great and the place was packed. We had a great time and the people were wonderful!

Home cooking in an upscale diner setting. Great food with generous servings. The waitstaff really know what they are serving and are happy to share their take on the offerings. You can get breakfast until late afternoon. The daily specials are great values and young and old find the menu varied enough to meet everyone's wishes. The peanut butter chocolate... More

Remember Mom's Pot Roast? How about Grandma's fried tripe? The Wayside has old family favorites that will bring back childhood memories, like Mom's in the kitchen. The wait staff treat you like familiar guests, even on your first visit and especially as a returning customer. The food is perfection and, surprisingly, at yesterday;s prices. I love the baked beans and... More

We like this place, just up from the best little old motel, Twin Cities. The menu was common, not elegant. Breakfast all day, meat loaf, BLT's - common stuff, lots of it, served hot from very friendly staff. We will stop there again next time we travel through VT. Save room for the dessert.

Never a bad meal here. The specials are the best price but we also had the broiled scallops and for the price the portion and size were great. We had 9 people and walked out with a very affordable bill. The food was great the staff was great. Well done for a diner.

I am a diner junky. Even on a weekday we found a line at this place but it goes very fast. Great menu and great food. Service fast as lightening and very friendly. Filled with tons of local people. I wish they were where we live in Windsor VT. It is right off Interstate 89 so be sure to visit.... More

We went here on recommendation from our hotel and so glad we did. It is very cute and our burgers were really good. The service was also great. We went back in the morning for breakfast and loved it too.
