This came to us by recommendation and was a winner. Our server Glenn was fantastic. He knew the menu well and was great throughout the meal. One of the preparations took a little longer and he kept us updated. The steak was well seasoned and the potato flavorful. True steakhouse form with a small salad to start the steak with... More

Attached to the Capital Plaza Hotel and Conference Center where we stayed and was highly recommended by the desk clerk when we arrived. Typical of state capital haunts--darkly lit with lots of wood. The food was outstanding. Hubby had the special of the night--branzana (a fish) and I had a filet mignon cooked just right! Server could have been more... More

I've been to many Sunday brunch facilities, but I have to admit; this was one of the best. The food was extremely fresh and made in-house. Nothing came out of a jar or a can. The atmosphere is very nice. There's a train motif with several moving trains. A-Plus to Mr. Bashara.

Nothing stood out about this restaurant. We went there because it was attached to hotel. The meals we got were very good, but the service was slow. Took us over 5 minutes just to place our drink orders. Apparently our waiter was more interested in shooting the breeze with another table than helping us. Food was good, but when we... More

A friend and I tried Kismet (which is down the street). We were seated there but the waitress just kept bypassing our table so we left. Thank goodness we did. This steakhouse was AMAZING! Ian our server was really knowledgeable of the specials and recommended one of the evening specials and we dined like Queens. The bread with Parmesan cheese... More

I recently had supper here with my husband who was in Montpelier on business and I was tagging along. The food was very good and our server was very attentive. In the morning, I came down and ate breakfast by myself. I had the absolute best Eggs Florentine that I have ever had. It is one of my favorites. The... More

Great atmosphere with comfy booths. Very quiet crowd while we were there. Brunch buffet with a lot to choose from. Personal omelets, meat slicing station, bacon, lasagna, pasta, fruits, famous ham. $16.pp also includes a dessert samples. The food was very good. A little disappointed that a steak house didn't offer any kind of beef or salmon in their selections.... More

We really wanted to give this restaurant a higher score because the service was so good. My husband and I ate at J Morgan's on July 3rd, the evening of the Independence Day festivities in Montpelier (the city celebrates a day early). The restaurant was very busy, so certainly this needs to be taken into consideration. Having said that, while... More

We took friends here who wanted steak and they were happy but thought the steak needed a little more flavour. I like their house salad and their garlic bread is delicious. Staff are good especially their bartender, such a hard worker!
